Post Got new cells

Hi all,

Pro4: Yes run them before....put a few runs on them to "wake" them back up.

hey guys,

I am the one that was looking to get in on the sale after thanksgiving with some 4 cell packs. I did try calling , but no-one is in the office on weekends. I just wanted to let you guys know what happened.

I place an order for 4 6 cell packs at the special rate. I emailed and asked about the 4 cells 1.18. I did not get a response, so I call this monday. And talked to Marge. She was very nice and said that the 1.18 were on sale, but only in the 6 cell configuration. So she suggested what you guys recommended me to do. Get 2 6 cells and have them build them as 4 cells. So that is what I did. I know I will be happy with the promatch cells. Got 4 from a fellow race and it has consistently put me in the a-mains now.

Here is what is discouraging. The 2 6 cell packs that I am havign made into the 4 cells will not be at the special price. The understanding I have is that I did not "Order" them during the sale. I know the site said no exceptions, but I made every effort to follow the rules and order based on the rules. And after all I did order 4 packs, And they can see that my email was on saturday. A company that promotes 100% customer satisfaction, I would have tought with all these fact, that it would not be a big deal to just add the 2 extra packs to my existing order and give me the sale price.

Maybe its just me, but I am somewhat disappointed in the customer service. This is in no reflection on Marge. She tried what she could to get me the special deal.

just finish with Marge. SHe went up to bat for me and got me the special price on the 2 extra packs. AS stated I would have been happy with my promatch batteries either way, but now I am happy with promatch as a company. Not just the products they sell.

thanks

Glad to hear that... I thought they would come through for you... The only time I have had an issue (which was very minor) they took care of it quickly and professionally.

Way to go ProMatch!

i heard (from an electronic and systems engineerc) that when you touch the batts they should be slightly warm, just about cool...this is because the core will be much hotter than the outer case, so f you let the outer case stay warm the core will be red hot which isn't good aparently.

so as someone said before warm is the best operating temperate but what you want is a warm core, not just a warm outer case.

thats why these temperature sensors on chargers are useless because they monitor outer case temperate and you could end up cooking your batts because the core will be red hot.

I have just had a problem with email and sales. I placed an order Saturday and emailed sales about something I wanted to change right after the order was placed. I just got a response back today 5 days later. Incidently I received the order today as well and it did not reflect the changes I wanted.
I am trying to get it worked out now. Part of the issue was the holiday sale prices.
Will let everyone know how it turns out. Promatch has always treated me right in the past and their products are top notch.
