The delta peak could still be too low causing false peaks.
I figured this could be the case given the packs simply would not charge on a Mill Pro set on NiMH mode (non-adjust delta peak).

On the second cycle, I switched to Linear mode and set the delta on 10mv per cell. I closely monitored the charge so the pack did not get too hot, but still it only took a bit over 3100mah.

Strangely, when I first put the pack on the charger the voltage read close to 9 volts... this was after racking the pack and bringing it down to 5.4! ... and no, the rack is not faulty as it services my other packs fine.

After four cycles, I can charge the packs in NiMH mode on the Mill Pro without them false peaking, but they are only taking about 2850mah.

I'm sure this is an isolated problem as other Promatch packs I've had have been excellent.

I've now contacted the company and will be taking advantage of their peerless warranty/guarantee.

Cheers,
Scotty P.

That's what I would do. Jeff will honor his guarantee.

Default Race Sponsor

I just wanted to publicly thank Pro Match for supporting our big summer race here in Edmonton, Alberta, The Canadian Asphalt Invitational. We were not able to run on Saturday or Sunday because of rain but the majority of guys were here on Wednesday, so they got three good days of running in and we were able to squeeze three rounds of qualifying in on Friday. Barry Baker, from Team Associated was a pleasure to have up here for the race and if you ever have a chance to meet him, do it. He is a phenominal racer to watch but an even better guy to talk to.

Thank you Pro Match for your prize support and for your support of me. You helped make a lot of wet guys put smiles on their faces...especially the guy with the new pack!!!

John Hughes

Yeah unless something has changed..it is Marge... Lets all make sure we call her and make her welcome! I understand her knowledge of R/C is small if any so we need to take it easy on her.

I don't remember speaking with Marg on the phone. I'll give her a call to introduce myself.

Erika, I was sad to hear of the news that you've left Pro-Match. I wish you and your family all the best on your move. I appreciate all the help, support and sponsorship especially at the Snowbirds race. I was hoping you would make it back down for the 2005 race. Don't be a stranger!
