Jason hope you are feeling better!!! Did you do any damage to the press (we know you have a hard head) ??? Just kidding, and hope to see you back at Speedline soon. If you can race, we can get someone to turn marshall for you till your knee heals up.Take care

Hi Everyone:

I talked to Jason a little earlier today..errrr yesterday and he is getting better starting to move around a little more.
on te chassis front: the graphite for the next batch of chassis was shipped today instead of last friday so this run will be a little later than planned so those who are expecting chassis and towers, etc they will be a little late.
also we will soon be working on a new chassis for the Yokomo SD. we are hoping to do the same was done with the Xray chassis.

also I am wondering if there is (or will be a market for the new Xray 1/12th scale sedan chassis done like the 1/0th Xray chassis. I will be talking to Jason about this soon and I am looking for some input again.

Please send any thoughts on this and the taping idea to [email protected]

Thanks

Does anybody make a machined diff case/housing for the TC3? One that needs no "Dremel" work? If so please post links for the website or pics. Just wondering.

Warpspeed does sell them. A fellow racer bought a set and the helicoils are nice but they are not as free as you can get them. there was still binding. His other set was perfect that he did himself was perfect.

Helicoils or not, those Warpspeed cases are $35 plus $10 for shipping. I'm sorry, but $45 for a set of diff cases when you can buy an entire car (TC3 Racer) for another $100. That's just too much for me. I'd rather work the diff cases over myself, and buy spares to practice on.

Talking helicoils!!

its not hard to add these to you cases.. along with you dremal work .. but the most inportant thing is to take your time .. do your dremaling work first then do your helicoils .. when finished youll have no more stripping of the screws and your diffs should spin freely.. remember that all diff's that are in a package have diffrent tolerances so dont ruch when doing the work ....my 2/cents.....
Ive had no problem adding helicoils to my diff cases actually makes all the mounting holes stronger..

You guys still planning on doing a barracuda r2 chassis? You'd sell a ton if you did.

If they make one for the barracuda R2 I would get in line to get one myself.

Hey Jason, hope you're feeling better. Have the materials and parts come in enough to ship out a titanium kit yet? Just let me know, and you have an order...

Hi everyone:

Apexspeed:

I called Jason at B.M.I. and the stock still hasn't shown up. sorry for the delay but all we can do is wait on the supplier. Jason is moving around a bit more but is no where near up to speed. I will call him again this weekend to see how things are going.

AWOL soldier:

Hi,

There is a "Cuda" chassis in the works. hopefully it will be out soon after the Yokomo SD chassis.

as for blueprinted diff cases.......... I have been doing some when I have time but they are few and far between as I and working 14+ hrs a day 6 to7 days a week tag on 2 + hrs of driving, playing in the snow so I can get up my driveway that doesn't leave me much time for anything but sleep and maybe some food.
I will ask my foreman if I can start doing cases at work when my line is running good.

Please see above posts for input I'm loking for on the 1/12th scale edan chassis for the Xray. and thoughts about taping the batteries in.

Thanks
