Default RC Heat Race

Well guys, I've gotta say, today was a personal best for me. The final result wasn't there in the mains, but I felt better running today than I have probably since I started raceing on road. I got #2 qualifier in Pro Mod, ended up 4th I think and qualified 5th or 6th in the 19 turn A main out of 4 heats but had some trouble on the start of the race and then broke trying to push a pass. But I had some awesome racing in qualifing. Especially with Mark Barden (mb racer) Can't wait to see the video!

Thanks Howie. We had an awesome race going. I got impatient and tried to pass the next guy when I really wasn't close enough and caught the pipe. Was fun while it lasted.

My Fukuyama pack was on Fire today.

Got 3rd in the A Main and came from all the way in the back. The only advantage they had was the straight on the start and the traffic.

Thanks Fuk, now just need some more packs

See you all at the races....

Something I did different today, I did not equalize them on the tray before charging like in the past. I think this really helped. When looking at laptimes at the end, other people were fading and i was consistent and gaining. Also when I discharged, I did 7 cells instead of 6 to leave a little more charge in them.

Glad you liked the pack. That's interesting that some of you guys are getting good results not equalizing. What tray do you normally use?

Still glitching outdoors?? You were fine inside SoCAL. Maybe you just need to add a small receiver pack like Chris uses. Good luck, maybe all this sale will pay for your wrx front bumper Thanks for everything this past week, it was great hanging out.

I think the next step is to develop a charger that uses a tray to charge each cell individually and peak each cell individually. That way you equalize using the discharge tray, and peak charge them on a tray to ensure each cell is at its maximum. This would also ensure that cells don't get out of balance from one another.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the new Futaba charger does that
