Regarding the Vortex 2008 Race BL Motors
Is it possible to get the kv rating for each of these motors? & some additional information about them, what size bearings, rotor size, etc...

I ran a new Orion 3800mAh 30C untill the cutoff point of 6.2v with a mamba max 7700 for 5.5min and on the second charge it tooks only 3250mAh.Whats going on?Are you sure these packs are 3800mAh rated at 30C? I don't think so.And the punch wasn't something special. Two things may be happening.Or your new 3800mAh 30C packs are misrated or i have a defective pack. Its very clear.

after next day charge had 37xx mAh
& don't 6.2V cut off !
choice 6.3-6.4 V cutoff bester !
if per cell had try under 3V , you battery will lose some punch !
& I'm use 4 T in small track had 11mins
4T in big track had 6 mins , car speed faster than GP car !

I don't remember where, but I read somewhere that most lipo batteries shouldn't be discharged past about 80% of the mAh rating. 3250 on a 3800 would be about 85%.
If you ran a true 5.5 minutes (330 seconds) that would mean you were averaging approx a 35.4 amp load for those 5.5 minutes (If my calculations are right) which would mean a pull of probably 65-70 (or more) amps from a STOP.
The LIPO Cutoff will kick in because of the AMP load pulling the LOADED Voltage down, moreso than the actual voltage of the pack.
( if the car shuts down w/ the LIPO CUTOFF...wait until it resets...then roll slowly in the throttle w/o creating the HIGH load off the line) Or if you want MORE RUN - set the throttle settings to NOT allow the HARD AMPLOAD starts.

Guys it's not the lipo cutoff. The car slow down after 5 mins run and so i have to stop on 5.5mins because is useless to continue.I know the voltage cutoff of 3v/cell doesn't take the pack right down to 0mAh and that always some current remains on the battery. But here we're talking for 550mAh.As i said punch wasn't something special for a 30C pack. From the other side i have some 4 months old Yeah Racing 3200 20C packs, very punchy and am getting 5.5-6 mins runtime with the same cutoff point and when i recharge them they're getting 3300mAh without being overgharged. They are only 3200mAh 20C and i paid for them 34.00$ not 90.00$ as i paid for the Orion.Hard to say but im completly disappointed from Orion.

I'm looking for batteries for my Losi Type R but I can't find and size/dimensions on the Teamorion website. I would like to know the 3600 & 3800.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I don't work for Orion but I can tell you neither of those packs will fit in the Type R. I was going to borrow some packs for my cars for IIC and tried to put one in. The pack rubs both pulleys on the lay shaft and will not go all the way in. Some went to the extreme of grinding the pulleys to make it fit but I am not willing to go that route since there are other options out there that are a direct fit. I don't feel modifying the car is a viable option to use a battery pack.

One of my Orion 3200's fails when I attempt to charge it on a balancer. Anybody know how I can fix this issue? It's only been raced a handful of times, and this past weekend went on the charger and didn't peak for 2+ hours, and when I put it on the track, it hit the 6V cutoff after 2.5 minutes of racing.
Thanks,
Paul

Sorry for the delayed response. We were at the ROAR Off-Road Nats all last week.
The rotor size that comes in the motors right now is 12.2mm We will be offering other rotor sizes very soon.
The bearing size is: OD-12.7mm ID-4.7mm Width-5mm
Hope this helps!
