I have the Team Orion Vortex Brushless Race Spec speed control, and racing tourers, I use a team orion 10.5 motor, the speed control is great except for the braking, the braking is very poor, the speed control can hardly stop the car at all.

I have the programmer and have tried different frequency settings but the braking is still poor... any ideas...

Do you have the Race "Spec" or just the standard Race speedo? Or to make it real easy, the KO version or the other one?

The Saddle Pack 6000's look pretty sweet.

I'm thinking I want to try using 1/2 of one of these as a 3.7v (Single Cell) and see how it works!!

I've had a few of our Oval Guys talk about wanting to TRY Single Cell - this might have created an opening for us!!

Things are headed towards a return of the SWT Series, but for
2017 the focus will be on the Encino Velodrome (and dirt oval racing)

I believe the saddles are 35C and the stick packs are 45C.

I don't think that a sensored motor will work with a sensorless esc. Be carefull you burn up either or both the esc and motor.

Default Vortex Race and Vortex Stock motors

What is the difference between an Orion Vortex Race 13,5T and a Vortex Stock 13,5T motor?

Do any of you team guys know if the new 6000 45C saddle Li-Po's will fit the ZX5 FS, or will only the 4500's fit into the FS Chassis?

Specs are here:
http://www.teamorion.com/orion/produ...r_overview.pdf

They are not in yet, but judging by those specs I don't think the 6000's will fit with out some creativity. The 4500's are a tad smaller than the SMC saddle pack and that just fit. Might have to wait until someone gets one in hand to try though. They should be here soon.

I got a chance to test the 4600 45c pack and it is awesome. I was using it in stock and pro-stock classes in the new Kyosho RT5 truck. Normally I run the 3800 30c packs. The power increase is VERY noticeable especially when running a 17.5 motor. Running it with a 10.5 made things just that much more insane.

They defiantly have something good with these new batteries.
