None of the emails listed on Murfdoog's website are working.
Came across a 1 cell 13.5 blue can motor. Would it be faster in a wgt than a black can version?
Thanks

idbdoug: The new Murfdogg website may still be under construction, as I had trouble accessing it also. For direct email to Matt, please send to: dirtoval9@aol.com The Blue can motors are a slightly older model than the Black can motors, but both are very good. I would ask Matt Murphy, about the difference for using in WGT class, using the above email.

Default New rotor

I have a blue can synergy 17.5 that's getting weak. I would like to get a new rotor. Does anybody know the part number for a replacement.

Sizzlechest: I don't believe the new Murfdogg website is fully operational yet. Please contact Matt at dirtoval9@aol.com and he'll be able to assist getting the correct replacement rotor for you. A pic of the exposed end of the rotor and diameter size will assist in obtaining same rotor (They are offered in 12.5mm Strong Modified, 12.3mm Strong Spec, 12.5mm Strong Spec).
Thank you,
Jason

8.5T gearing recommendation: Would start with 18/78=11.26 FDR on your RB5. You should be able to gear up if using on a large track layout.

Murfdogg 17.5T worked great tonight at ROAR Region 2 Onroad warmup race, finishing 4th in stock TC Sedan class. Used one of Matt's torque rotors, geared at 3.69 FDR and +15* endbell timing. Thanks Murfdogg!

I'm going to run a Murf Dogg 13.5 in my TC, this year. I've never used this brand before, and this will be my first time trying 13.5. Can anyone give me some tips for this motor? Stock rotor? Timing sweet spot? Starting FDR?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

R Doyel: Haven't had the opportunity to use a 13.5T in TC Sedan. Weather using in "Boosted" or "Blinky", I have found all of the motor (stock class) winds and rotors to run very well with +10* to +12* endbell timing. If you're able to use ESC timing, recommend using the low stength RPM rotor Matt developed. If using "blinky" recommend using the high torque rotor. Please send Matt Murphy, an email (dirtoval9@aol.com) with your desired use/class and he'll be glad to assist building you a motor to suit your requirement and be able to provide you a good gearing start point. Wish I could be more helpful with the 13.5T Onroad application.

Yes all parts are available to replace excepted the wire stator itself. That is pressed into the can. Replacement parts will be on the website soon but for now you can contact Matt directly via email at dirtoval9@aol.com
