Had fantastic results at Thunder R/C Raceway in Nashville, TN for the first time racing TC 17.5 "blinky" and on a carpet Onroad track, finishing 3rd against some great competition! Used Murfdogg 17.5T, Murfdogg Octane Booster, and Supercharger 5500 mAh, 65c Batteries which provided superb performance that never lacked the speed and power required to make the podium!
Thanks Matt!

You don't have many options in non boosted classes. Typically I'd run throttle curve 3 or 4, no current limiting and set the drag brake based on the track.

Yeah in Blinky mode you just run what feels best to you with drag brake and throttle curve. Battery C ratings are where the battle is in the spec mode classes.

Murf
What's new with your mod brushless motors if anything. Starting to amass some supplies for the winter season and gonna be needing a 4.5,5.0 or 5.5 soon. Keith

I just bought a 17.5 synergy to run in blinky TC. What would a good starting point be for gearing and setup with these motors. I have been running thunderpower.

+1 Using a RPM rotor I used gear range from 4.0-4.5 and up to +7* endbell timing with good success. With stock rotor you can try gearing 3.9 FDR.
