The new motors look pretty sexy - local guy at my track had one in his 12th scale and it was fast. Not much left of the motor can which makes me a little nervous though. Any plans to make "tuned/certified etc." versions available like Fantom, Team Scream and Trinity?

Valid point/concern on the motor can. But we did extensive testing and had no issues. With many off-road tracks moving to turf and on-road not being an issue as far as dirt, the pros of our can design outweighed any potential negatives.

As far as "certified", we are looking into some options with another partner but that needs to be finalized. Having said that, I can tell you that our motors out of the box are really, really good!

Hope this helps.

I'm tempted to get one for 17.5 since my LHS could not get the Certified Plus Trinity I wanted or any other custom built motors for that matter

I too was quite impressed with the motor when I drove his car...

Going to be in the market for batteries soon, and Speedzone caught my eye. The packs look good at great prices. I'm assuming you ship to Canada?
**EDIT** Nevermind I see that you do. Awesome!

I was able to pull out 3rd place this weekend at the NissFest in CA, and that's with only running two of the triple a-mains in the 17.5 expert class. There were some really good drivers there and the speedzone motor was super fast.

Please email us if you need more specifics but here are the answers to your questions:

Weight is 156g. The motor does come with a 12.3mm rotor. The motor and rotor are built to ROAR specs, including resistance. And yes, the motor has already been submitted to ROAR for approval.

Hope this helps. Just email us or post if you have more questions.

I've been running the 17.5T in touring car and setting new track records with it. My free run amp draw on the sky rc brushless motor tester is set to 4.2, gear ratio is at 415, and running on a medium size technical track.
