I attended the WRL at CRCRC for Rnd 3, entered in 2wd buggy and 4wd buggy.
Ended up taking 4th in the c main after not quailifing well this round.
We ran all 12 4wd buggies at once, I started near the back of the field, and made some progress near the front, before a bobble set me back a couple of positons. I finished about 8th. I did have the second fastest lap of the day at 19.3 sec.

I finished the round 2 of our indoor winter series. only got to run 4wd buggy because my sc was too broken from the last race.
Anyways i started 8th after not finish a qual .
a broken rear arm and a blown esc kept me at the back of the pack.
came into the main ready to dominate. and i did in the first 3 corners making my way to 2nd place.
and made a move for the lead for a lap or two before i got hacked over a cross over jump and corner didnt see my car. so i went a lap down.
i held on to a respectable 3rd place though.
Thanks for the support gavin! ill be ordering some saddle and shorty packs soon!

Dave Johnson and Speedzone Claim Victory at Mid West Grand Slam RD2 !!!
Dave Johnson and Speedzone Win at Grand Slam RD2
The second round of the Midwest Grand Slam took place last weekend in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The race had over 80 entries as the chase for the Grand Slam title heats up. Speedzone Driver Dave Johnson was in attendance fresh off of wins from the Vegas warm up race, Halloween Classic, and the great double win at the 2011 US Indoor Champs in Cleveland.
Johnson's Speedzone powered touring and 12th scale machines had been fast in practice. Qualifying went well but the track proved to be very challenging as any “tap" of the boards dropped you 3 tenths a lap! Johnson would qualify 2nd in touring, 4 tenths of a sec behind Team Associated Driver Kevin Hébert. Racing was close in 12th scale as well with Johnson qualifying in the number 2 spot, 3 tenths of a second off the TQ!
The A-Mains went smooth and fast. In touring car Johnson would settle into the 2nd spot pressuring Kevin Hébert for the first 3 minutes. The race would finish with Johnson taking second behind Hébert by less than a second! In 12th scale it would be much of the same as Johnson & TQ Chuck Lonergan broke away from the field. Johnson kept the pressure on Lonergan, staying close for the entire race. Dave would eventually get by to take down the A-Main win in 1/12.
A hard fought second place and win for Dave Johnson and Speedzone batteries. Another fantastic showing for the duo!

Last night I made my own personal debut back into TC after a 2 year break period running other stuff, finished in a great 2nd place after battling with 1st and 3rd wire to wire, we all finished within 1 tenth from the leader to third place. It was some very close racing and i now realize why i missed TC so much
Merry christmas to you Gavin, as well as all the other SpeedZone drivers across the country!
