The new budget speedo from Castle. It will sell for 149.99 and comes with speedo and 5700 Mamba motor. It can run up to 3 cell lipo and up the 5700 motor. I have been running it for a few weeks and it is cool.

I'm going to put in the production model for the weekend.

Man that Sidewinder is a nice looking piece! Not to mention it is one solid performer as well.

As for a Castle version of a 13.5, will have to wait and see.

I thought it was 3S lipo using the 4600 motor? 2S with the 5700.

For the price, thats a good deal.

If the Castle 13.5 will not cogg at all with the Castle ESCs, and will come out in a few months, I will wait and see.

Right now spending $250+ is a lot for the setup, when it may be possible to get a castle version for almost half the cost that does what I need.

When Castle makes a motors for their speedos cogging will not be an issue. Only if you run another brand sensored motor thru the Castle speedo will you have some lowend cogging/hesitation. Castle motors with Castle systems and with the new bullet connectors that come on all new Castle speedos from now on virtually eliminate the cogging issues.

Great. I just hope it doesn't take too long to get a 13.5 legal motor out there.

Here is a question:

Looking at what Tekin is doing, it appears they are going to come out with the RS ESC that is sensored since it appeard that getting sensorless to work perfectly on the 13.5 or motors similar is not possible without some start up issues.

Is Castle considering a sensored unit?

if castle does a 17.5 and a 13.5, i'd buy no question. is sidewinder any smaller than the max? prgm'ble?

heck if it were not for stock-class micro usin can motors, all my rides would be outfitted w/castle as it were.
