Joe,

Does Castle have plans to make a more race oriented ESC in the future for 1/10 scale applications? I loved using my Mamba Max in my 1/10 scale vehicles, but it was alittle on the big side of things.

Also, is the only thing pretty much not legal about the Mamba Max systems the motors that come with them? Any plans to make motors that would be legal and also allow you to solder direct to them?

Finally, any word on when the software update will be out for the Mamba Max that will work better with Neu motors?

I just wouldn't get carried away. Try to keep the temps somewhat resoanble as even though it is capable of running at higher temps than pretty much any other speedo I wouldn't run it at those temps every time. I think if it happens every now and then you just don't have to worry like you do with other speedo's.

here is a pic of a 25mm novak fan mounted directly to the heat sink. You can use 4/40 srews to thread inbetween the fins on the heat sink.

any setup to run the novak 13.5 without all the cogging. man is it bad unless you keep moving foward then its ok. once you stop or hit a board it will go backwards for a half of a turn then stutter foward for a trun then be ok

Post your current ESC configuration. Also, the batteries you are using, are you still using the bullet style connectors, etc.

FOr now not alot you can do. The Orion 13.5 will hesitate alot less than the Novak. For now thats the way it is but it will get better soon.

Looks to me that you have done the 'hole mod' on your case. i too am having a few heating issues with my MM & im about to do this mod, but did you notice a significant decrease in heat?

Cain - right now its just the box stock setup. i havent had time to mess with it. ive been racin for 15 years and this brushless stuff is all new to me.

Wyd - i cant run the orion 13.5. the ustcc ( novak race) is novak motors only in rubber classes. and my guys at checkpoint would be alittle mad i think if i didnt run there motor. otherwise i would do it in a second.

Thanks for the hel guys ill just have to start messing with it. i will post if i can get it figured out.

Well good thing is the Checkpoint brushed motors run well with the Mamba so your still good for 19t and stock or mod with no problems. I ran mine bushed for months before I ever put a brushless motor in my cars.

Joe here is the newest paint job. Paint is still wet so I didn't even cut it to fit the new offroad car yet. Pics just don't do it justice.
