You should ask team orion to send you out a brand new 08 race motor, im sure the new ones will run much better with sensorless esc, im waiting for the 7.5 to come out so i can nab one up!

Well my buddies hobbyshop got in a bunch of those new Traxxas Xlash trucks in. We sold 3 of them in a day and looks like they are a perfect candidate for the Sidewinder system with the 4600 ot 5700 motor. I know two of the guys from the shop are going to go this route.

The truck is fun but now it will be even more fun.

Exclamation Mamba Max with Feigao Motor

Hello.

I am using a Mamba Max with a 7700 motor to race with 5 Ni-MH cells, and I am very happy with the system, but I need a little more torque to follow other cars.

I am very interested in know which setup have I to do to the Mamba Max ESC, to run a Feigao (Speed Passion Ver.2) 3.5T motor in a Hot Bodies Cyclone with 5 Ni-MH elements.

I presume I have to use low timing, but can anyone recomend me a full setup?

Which ratio can I use in my HB Cyclone?

Thanks a lot.

Not sure what batteries you're running, but if they are having a hard time delivering current to the 7700 system, that's your torque limiter right there. The system can only put out what the batteries will provide. Going to a higher kv motor is only going to compound the problem. Let me know what cells you're running specifically, if the cells are put together with welded tabs or thick solder bars, and what battery connector you're running.

I am using Intellect 4600 batteries, with corally conector and Orion Bones.
I have test with other batteries and have similar performance.

Okay, I know this question might have already been answered but there are 51 pages in this thread and I don't have time to read everyone of them. I have the following MM motors 4600, 5700, 6900, 7700 and would like to know compared to brushed motors what are the turn equivalents. (27t, 19t, modified)

4600 = 12t
5700 = 9t
6900 = 6t
7700 = 5t-7t

Hi,
Do sidewinder ESC's run sensored motors fine?
I bought one a while ago but haven't gotten around to using it yet. I know this question has been asked on here before but I just couldn't remember what the answer was.

Thanks.
