Jeremy,
IIC race in Las Vegas is Sept 19th-24th. I'm signed up and ready for Vegas. Won't be much sleep that week. Hopefully there will be some more Banzai guys there.
Judi I think you and Scott need a vacation to Las Vegas that weekend!

Eddie- I hear its slicks with specific types of traction additives/break in procedures. If I don't get to your email first mine is [email protected]
Yeti- I'd really love to go to that race but I think the 1/8th scale nats are that weekend and I'll be there working.

Jeremy,
That's to bad cause I'd be willing to bet we would be able to find something fun to do besides race - just a guess.

Casper- My bad...I always get our neighbors to the north confused.
Yetiman- I just consulted the race board and noticed that its actually the roar gas truck nats that happen the same weekend as the IIC. I don't know if I need to be at that but I'll bet the IIC is already sold out anyways...oh well, anybody up for snowbirds?

I got my Blue 27 today!
Yippee!! I can hadly wait to get it on the track.
I was looking over the motor and noticed that the coolong ports on one side are covered by the Bazai sticker.
Should I open those ports up or leave it?

My name is Keith Whisler and I'm the owner of Slingshot Batteries here in Southern California . Judi had asked me to come on here to introduce myself. I sponsor a few of the Banzai drivers here in SoCal and want to let you all know that I'm available to answer any questions you may have about batteries. I was lucky enough to meet Judi and Scott a little over year ago and our relationship has grown since we have some common "team drivers". Feel free to contact me regarding batteries or visit my website (under construction) at www.slingshotbatteries.com Or if you happen to be in Southern California at any of the JBRL off road races, you can find me running around with the Banzai crew...... And yes, I run Banzai motors too......

I usually carefully cut out just the openings with an exacto knife. Not sure how much a difference it makes (never tested with cutout outs and without) but it is not hard to do. I would recommend taking the arm out of the can to do this just to make sure you do not stab the windings on the arm while you do this.
Welcome Keith!
