B. James, we're planning on being at the race. Might

go out Saturday for a while too.

Puddle, we might all have to have yard sales to raise

money for the Cactus.

Gary, I missed you on the other page!!! That's a lot

of traveling you're doing! We're doing good here.

Wish you could have been at the Shoot-Out, but

hope to see you again at the Cactus!!

Oh B'ner, you guys are too much!! I'll probably see

that thing flyin' over my house!!

OK, I know it's almost the week-end, and everybody

is getting ready to race. But I'm curious about something.

How did you start in R/C ?? Would appreciate all info,

like did you pay for your stuff?-- or did your parents help?

Most important, what got you started!

Thanks to all who will take the time to answer!

Started when my parents bought me a Cox Bandit

Then I bought my first RC10T, then a XX-T. Ran that for awhile until the XXX came out which I bought, but hardly ever raced. I had the car maybe 2 months and the track closed down so I was out of RC since 99-00.

Last year or so I found out that FHR was out there and set in a plan to finally race. Started to gather small things like parts, chargers, esc, radio etc around this time last year. Finally got everything together around January, and had my first race in Feb.

Seems like forever, but Im fiiiiiiiiiiiinally racing.

And doing really good I might add!!

That's what I was looking for. Did you ask for the

Bandit? Or was it something they came up with

on their own?? Parents do have good ideas sometimes!
