Thanks MOM, for bringing all the fun toys with you...Doug says to ask about replenishing the 766 supply a little as well so I may hit you up while at the first JBRL. I have the lathe and all of the supplies so if you need the extra hands, let me know, send people over.
Miss you all and see you soon!

I will certainly be there and Doug and I decided to run different classes this year so we can get as much Banzai Slingshot power in as many classes as possible and hopefully running out front where it is designed to be running. Now if only my brain and hands wil work well enough together, haha!

Judi--I'll pick my stuff up at JBRL as we had discussed several weeks ago. I'll bring Scott's packs as well.....

Morris, You need to put 12 guage wire onto the speed controls for the wires going to the motor and that will take care of the wire coming off of the negative terminal. It has to do with resistance and a few of us have had to do that. It should fix the problem.
#3209
Nice Job Matt. Too bad you dropped that motor lead. Ryan's right, a larger gauge wire, 12 awg, is curing this problem for a lot of people.
Larger wire = less resistance = less heat.
Tech Tip: For all
I'm often asked what kind of solder I use.
Kester "44" Series 60/40.
Wire, Solder; Sn60Pb40; 0.040 in.; Flux-Cored Solder Wire
Mfr Part#: 24-6040-0039
If you use anything else, you're on your own. Also make sure you have a good solder joint when you're done. It should be nice and shiney, not dull. A dull finish means it's a cold joint and it won't hold up. Practice, practice, practice.
