Is possible to replace the standard tc4 chassis with the xlr8 chassis and use the other TC4 stock parts?

Nope. The only components you use are the ones specified in the manual to complete the kit such as the diffs, outer suspension, ball links, etc. The suspension mounts, arms, top plate, motor mount, shaft, etc. are a unique design and will not transfer over from your TC4.

Alright--Damon suggested I post request to the list.

I'm looking for a good baseline setup for rubber tire on carpet (low-med traction ideally, but can work from anything carpet). If you can help out please send what you've got or post it up here.

I've had an XLR8 for a few years now, one of the split pack (4X2) chassis. Ran it exactly once and it didn't do TOO badly as a Stock/Rubber TC other than a couple teething problems that weekend (2008 ROAR Regionals). Since I don't really race TC and have been using other chassis in VTA the XLR8 sat on the shelf.

Fast forward to now, my TC5 is really as dialed as it can get for VTA so it's kind of boring for me now. Same thing happened with my TC4 "tubbie" and I switched to the TC5. Now I want to see what I can do with the XLR8 since it's WAY too pretty to just be attracting dust. I'm REALLY looking forward to making this bad boy a VTA beast...I've told people since I bought it that it's what a shaft drive Xray would look like if Xray produced a shaft drive car.

For now I'll leave it with the 4X2 chassis and cut slots to tape the LiPo battery in. In fact I'll place the battery last to use it's location as an aid to balancing the car. Will run 2s with the Novak Havoc Pro and Ballistic 25.5 pulled from my TC5.

ANYWHO...would really like a couple base setup ideas.

Thanks!

Scottrik
