No, nothing on the XLR8 will fit the original TC3 or TC4, Its basicly a new car with all new dimensions!! When we designed the kit it was from ground up but we used the TC3 parts so people could change to the new car easily since there are a ton of TC3 and TC4 drivers and cars out there!

Ended up using a CRC cross brace, a Hammer 12 top plate and damper tubes off a Corally!

All fitted so I'll try it out next Friday and let you know what I think!

All the best,

Chris.

Made my first run with the XLR8 on Sat. Made one out of four heats . Actually, it was my first time driving a shaft car. Very fast. Very hooked up. Surprisingly smooth. It felt like I was driving a belt car. I turned laps that I wasn't able to with my FK05. Went from 7.9's and 8 flats to 7.6's relatively consistantly. Took some hard whacks too, and didn't see any signs of wear and tear. I can't wait to get more wheel time with my new girl!

Hey guys, glad to be part of the team now. Hope I can bring home some hardware for the 1/18th scale class. Will post pics of the truck when I get the new parts on it, as well as the specs. Looking forward to the winter season already at Larrys. Also, hope to make the East Coast Nationals in NJ this Oct.

Is that Larry!? How are the REAL race cars treating you? Damon is working on a new battery brace that will incorporate the body mounts and dual dampening tubes. Hope to see you soon Mr. Oppenhuizen(sp).

Oppie: Whats going on.. Was just talking with XLB about you!

Along with the new battery brace there is a new chassis, bottom pod plate and top pod plate. The new chassis is skinnier and you can use either skinny or fat front body posts and Im thinking about making it so you can run either Associated or Cyrul front ends along with the rear lowered motor mount pods. Everything should be done by this weekend, I will try to get a pic posted.. Talk with you soon!

Default Prototype D12 V2 version 2

Just wanted to post some pics of the new prototype D12 V2 that will be available this fall. The new battery brace/top plate allows the use of 2 CEFX dampeners or you can use 2 side shocks. The bottom and top pod plates are both redesigned along with a skinnier chassis, shorter lower links to allow mounting the electronics farther to the rear and the chassis has both mounting holes for either size front body posts. The kit will be available only in black at first but then in this silver.
