As I said I would here are pics of how I have the steering geometry setup on my Mx2:

First pic you see the hole I dremeled out for the servo saver to clear:

Top view of tie rod angle:

Front view you can see how the servo saver sits in the hole and can see the slight downward angle of the tie rods:

Last pic from the back of the car the tie rod angle is more more easy to see:

Well looking at the car last night I noticed the change in ackerman. The angle difference between inside and outside tires is quite a bit less then the typical 1/12th setup. I'm not sure yet which is better...I never was totally comfortable with the ackerman on my 12L3 and 3.2R...I always thought it was a bit too much. However this might be too little. That can easily be cured though by moving the ball studs on the servo saver to the top holes or going with the larger servo saver if more is needed.

I think 20k tube lube is too heavy, probably making the car stay to flat and act a bit funky, try lightening it up to 10k or 7k, my cra seemed to like a lighter lube in that area.

Also, i recommend trying to run magenta front tires to gain more steering

Our local race this weekend turned into more of a practice session due to lack of racers...but that worked out great for me. My Spektrum glitches are solved and I got a chance to really see what this baby can do. Since it was only a practice session we sprayed significantly less sugar water down and the car worked very well even in the lower traction. I've been using the thick CRC oil on the damper tubes and think I'm going to go down to the medium and I think it's about time to switch to a digital servo soon. The 94145 has been great but there's play in the gears allready that gives me a little trim issues. I let a buddy drive it and he had so much fun with it he ran it through an entire 3800 pack (stock motor).

E - Picked up the parts at HT this morning....Thanks!!

I'm hoping to do as well on Wednesday night will be running the Black car (no not yours) as I got mine almost done last night.

I'll let you know if the repair works for the silver car. If it does, I'll fix Mike's as well.

Hey Mark,

The Billings Posse have our reservations (La Quinta/Westminster Mall) for the 2-day race!! Right now there are 4 of us coming down (I think ya'll have our entries...any way to get confirmation of that?) and Stormer keeps makin' "harumphing" noises like he may come too.

Looking forward to getting my a$$ handed to me by an entirely new group of racers!

Oh...to get it on-topic...got sidetracked on Operation Darkside Dial-in by Stormer wanting me to try running a Tamiya silver can in stock. Turns out it was a tenth and a half slower than the winner of stock, but MAN what a great idea for new drivers! REALLY have to smooth your lines. Ran the Darkside in 19-T, was doing OK right until I changed the shock spring before the main and didn't re-set the height. Can you say "black belly"? Needless to say the handling was a little off.

Maybe Eric should get on the ball and develop an "Idiot-Proof" chassis for, say, guys like me.
