Is anyone raising the rear pod plate so this doesn't happen? Does is affect the rear roll center?

Thanks for the help.

i think alot of cars will do this.you can always just file a small angle on the front underside of the rear pod so when it compresses it will be flush with the chassis

Ran my Darkside for the first time at our last club race. I was VERY impressed with the car, it was "close" right out of the box. I had a few new car bugs (all four pivot balls loosened--and they were tight, front body post came loose, body clips interfering with body ridges, etc) that affected both my heats and my main, but they're all minor and will be sorted before our race next weekend.

The car had the fastest lap(s) in the main and opened a LOT of eyes. I'll be very surprised if a few more Darksides don't "pop up" locally.

Eric--I've got a couple ideas re: the battery hold down plate, cross brace, and upper pod plate that will solve some packaging challenges (moves the antenna to the center of the car freeing up more room for receiver, etc) and allows the new CRC "Torpedo Tubes" to fit without re-engineering. Maybe give a call when you get back from the 'birds and I'll describe. I may try prototyping a couple pieces--I think they'll help.

Good luck in FLA!!

Thanks, I'm interested to see what you come up with. Florida is coming up fast, crunch time for getting everything ready. Are you coming to our race in Colorado in March?

LOL Scott that's great! It's almost exactly what happened with my Mx2 on it's first run too. Only difference is the bit of a glitching issue I had with my Spektrum running 4 cell...but I'm pretty sure I have that figured out now.

I'd say for me it's as sure a thing as it can be short of me loading up the Family Truckster right now. That weekend actually works very well...it's the end of my Spring Break (smart students go to Cabo...middle-aged married students go to Denver).

I'm trying to round up some additional "likely suspects". I'm pretty sure JP will go, maybe Rick Keiser and a couple others. For some it's a bit close to the Casino race the guys in ND put on (if you don't have it on your OWN calander you should--it was an awesome event last year and will be even better this!) and some may have to pick and choose.

Glad to here you are coming!! Looking forward to putting some faces with the screen names. We have a really good group of racers and quite a mix of cars. Fare amount of Q-12's and some Mx2. I'll be running my Mx2 for its first race Sunday, so we'll see how well I can do. I'm not the fastest racer locally but bottom of the A - Top of the B, but I have enjoyed racing for many years.

See you in March!!

Well on todays track my Mx2 was absolutely dialed...I could place it anywhere on the track I wanted running nice smooth tight lines...as long as it wasn't glitching. I'm continuing to have glitching problems with my Spetrum system and am nearly at my wits end with it now. I love the idea of the system but it's caused me more problems then not. So next race my 75mhz reciever goes into the car and the Spektrum module goes to Horizon to be looked at.

The more the better, looks like another big crowd at the track yesterday, with 3 heats of 1/12 stock. Look forward to seeing you.

I know what you are feeling with the radio issues. I've run for years, and with a little planning, the 27 / 75 are almost bullet proof. However I had the same issue with my Nomadio. It works great with 6 cells or nitro, but had similar issues that seem to be power related. Nomadio sent me a doulbe cap to put on it, but have not tried as the old stand by JR-XS3 is in the car and working!!

Also, first outing for my Mx2 gave similar results. Placed in the A and finished 5th. Had the slowest fast lap, just a lot of them!!

It was really great comparing my diggity car to Mike Haynes Darkside car. The cars are very similar as far as battery layout but there are quite a few differences. Mike tqed over me this past weekend by 2 tenths, it was great to have the inline cars in the top spots at the local track. These inline batt cars are going to be the future. Good luck with everything ERIC, you have a great product that is gaining popularity where ever it goes!
