YES!!! The LHS contacted us today! The car has arrived!

I have been running an updated CK3.1 with the 3.2 thick chassis and other parts. It was pretty good but just not quite there. It was good enough for me to win the Fall Points series though. I ordered a Gen-X to replace it. I must say that this car really steers! I find that I get better steering reaction with black fronts on the new car than pinks on the old car. My son has been using a Speedmerchant Rev4. He's faster than me when its dialed in. He is replacing the Rev4 with this car. We've been talking about putting the Gen-X front end on this new car after trying the stock front end for a coouple of weeks. We can't wait to hear what you think of it.

Well I dug around in the box today and found I still had a couple of washers left over so I took the car apart and loctited the link screws I also got around to taking care of a glitching issue I've been having with my Spektrum. Been having problems with running 4 cell and having enough power through the BEC even with the new reciever which has built in capacitors to prevent the problem. On our indoor track it worked fine but now at our outdoor track it's causing problems. So I ran servo wires from the main battery wires to the reciever directly and put a switch on it. This way it powers the reciever directly and bypasses the BEC. Can't wait for the next race now!

Just turn the rear link screws facing in. It doesn't make sense to dremel. It is easy to get to the screw.
I will have the Mx2 out tomorrow for some track time at our indoor asphalt track. We have a point series starting this weekend.

You'd be amazed at how little you actually need to take off. Not a major grind job at all.

I just finished reading this month's RC Car Action magazine. They had 2 whopping pages (sarcastic tone) covering the Cleveland race. It's unfortunate for Darkside Motorsports, that in the chart of results, the only missing chassis information was Mike Haynes' result. For chassis, it said "INS". Footnote at the bottom said:
INS = Information not supplied by racer.

Yes, it is unfortunate. I think that I'll contact them and request that a correction is published.

Default Magma Race

Hey Mike,

Great run at the Magma race!!! Way to go to put the Mx2 2nd place overall in 19T. Wish I could have gone to the race.

When you get back home, can you post your setup.

Thanks,

Jeff

Yes,

Congratulations to Mike Haynes on a great showing at the Magma race this past weekend. Qualified 3rd and finished 2nd with his Mx2. Keep up the good work Mike, that win is just around the bend.
