Default HPI Racing/Hot Bodies Official Thread

This thread is for HPI/HB discussions, photos and new products.

I'll start...

Which HPI/HB do you drive? Aside from Jet Racing, Square and Top Racing, what other brand/aftermarket aluminum parts fit for the Pro4 and Cyclone?

Hey danjoy,

Nice Cyclone. Where did you get the purple parts for it? Are those parts aftermarket or did you have them anodized? A lot of Cyclone owners here would want the same as yours. I'm sure they'll envy your car.

Only original purple option parts are the servo mount, shock tower mount for the rear, front and rear hub. Everything else was anodise by a shop here in Sydney, Australia. Hope you liked it. I think the only thing left now are the shock adjusters which should be able to source when I get time.

Good for you. It really looks nice on purple. Are the pivot blocks on your Cyclone from the Pro4?

will the new part that Hara & Surikarn used on TITC become a hop out for the cyclone that we used currently?
1. Aluminium diff outdrive
2. narrow diff pulley
3. one piece spool
4. alum servo mount

I have a Pro 4 which I really like after trying Yok SSG and CGm. I can't decide which one to get. A Pro 4 Hara or HB Cyclone. I wish I can afford both.

Both the Pro4 and Cyclone are very competitive touring cars. It is up to the driver which is best for him depending on the comfortability. Both cars performs well in different conditions on asphalt and carpet.

I personally choose the Pro4 over the Cyclone because I'm not a BD (belt drive) fan. I like a car driven by shaft while others like belt. As I've said, it will all depend on you. Also, both cars share lots of parts and hop-ups. So getting either is ok. HPI/HB cars are very reliable on maintenance, parts, performance and durability.

so... the real question is...
when is the Pro5 coming out?
I know everyone has said it's already out in the form of the cyclone...

What things do racers want to see?
further enhance the Pro4?
for me...I want to see aluminum bulkheads...
HD ball studs..

I heard some say that the upcoming Pro5 will still be driven by shaft. It will remain shaft driven because the Cyclone is already the Belt drive version. But it won't come out yet. Probably early next year.

Hope it's true. I love shafties!
