I know people have asked already but whats the update (release date) on 1/8 scale motors and ESC?
Sorry if this is repetitive

No date as such, the latest I know of is that there was a minor setback with one of the moulding machines being broken

Not something that can not be replaced, just something that "has" to be replaced to get them through the production line, before they are then packaged up... and then sent out to distributors and retailers....

So the combination of processes makes it impossible to put a date stamp on it all.

I'd keep checking the Tekin Forum's RX8 sub forum for info about that.

Difficult to say for sure without knowing the track and the size of it, but also remember that any boost or motor timing changes will also affect your gearing.

More of either and you are usually looking at an extra 2 teeth or so on the pinion gear.

Just a very rough guide though, so as above, experimentation and monitoring the temperatures is the only way, unless someone else who races at your track knows better.

Most of the time I see an FDR of 4.5-5.0 depending on track size.

Motor temps are the biggest determining factor.

I've seen the 10.5s run FDR between 5.3 to 5.7 with pretty decent temp readings. Use 5.5 as a starting point and adjust from there.
Hope this helps.

Some 35Tpro handwound crawler motors and systems are shipping to distributors this week. The teardown motors that we handwind have become difficult to source lately. We are setting up a direct source, but supplies may be limited for awhile until this happens.

Default Yet another setup advice please-

Hi all,

Sorry for yet another post asking for initial setup help, but have looked in Tekin RS / Asso B44 tuning threads untill my eyes almost popped out of the sockets. Still confudes though and never really found anything for my type of car/track/ect.

Here goes.

Finally decided on trying offroad again. Has been away for a few years (active running large scale here in Denmark & TC5R with Sphere TC Spec/3.0 turn LRP) Fantastic car.

Now for my B44 which should arrive within a few days.

I'm almost decided on the Tekin RS Pro / 6.5 turn combo as this seems like a good setup from what I can read in several threads.

The local trask here is outdoor, carpet, quite high grip, 80 x 45 feet, long straight, fairlt smooth and includes the usual washboard, dual/tripple jump and so on, so need grunt to pass these also.

I will be using 6000 Mah Hyperion saddle packs.

So what kind of gearing ?. As I understand it the B44 comes stock witg a 84T 48P spur gear. Is there some kind of rule fo thump regarding the final drive or what.

Also for you Tekin goys. Regarding programming (will buy the Hotwire of cause) what settings should I start with? I'm udes to drive brushless/Li-Po and have drives offroad before if any help. :-)

I'm somewhat confused about all the settings of the RS Pro (but like the possibility of cause)

Kind Regards from Denmark
