How is the coast in nuetral and brake strength?

I have 3 Motors that I use, they are all by DC Motorsport, 8x1 Ti3 (2pcs) and 8x1 DC Cobalt. I am pretty much spot on with the gearing. Drive Freq setting is at 7250 and the Brake Freq is at 15000. Current Limiter is set at 40%, anything higher will surely dump at 4min. Min Brake and Drag Brake are set at Default.

I run the static timiming of my DC motors at 12*, they are all 8x1. I get the same result from each motor. I dump at 4min when I set the current limiter anything above 40%.

Thats pretty conclusive. If those exact same setups go 6min with other speedos we better see that unit. The anything above 40lim is odd as well. It is not a switch.. it is a dimmer.

yeah you might have just gotten a bad one. I'm sure they will help you out. Oh and if you can...try to get a 10 or 11 turn and see if it makes your lap times go up or down

Ive got a g10 pro I picked up second hand. What would I need to do, to see about sending it in for repairs? It does not go into setup. It seems to run fine wihtout a load, but when I put the car down it acted like a dead battery.

Thanks,
Billy

Checked the current limitor? Did you do a full factory reset by pressing both buttons for 3 sec? ( The motor runs up to full 3 times.. be ready) You can always send an email to support@teamtekin.com and figure it out or fix it.

Cool, best set this thread to subscribe then, help all you guys (and gals Sherri) out there.

I would agree with Jim about the ESC dumping at 4 mins, there must be an issue somewhere if the same setup works fine on other ESC's, if anything, the G11 will give you more grunt for the same juice, so when it is working right, you might find you can either gear down or have some serious speed down the straight. Rubber tyres on carpet indoors I can sping all four up coming out of corners in 19t....

The FET package, the Pro has better (less on power resistance) than the stock G11.

The G11 is a pro level RTR. No solder post.... requires no soldering. Comes pre-wired with standard battery connector and bullet connectors for the motor. Can be used as a 3 wire setup also just like the pro.

Tekin Prez: my G11 PRO is acting weird.. when i use my DC motors 6x1 & 8x2 the throttle sort of delays the current but if i pull slowly it is normal.. what are the best settings for mod, 19t and 27 stock?

Hey not the prez, just a team driver.
I run my g-11 at the lowest setting for stock. and default for both 19 and mod.
Never had a brush wear problem or any heat issues.
Matter fact I was able to go up one tooth on stock.
Enjoy, thanks Mike

Default Recommendation?

Hey all, just getting back into R/C after almost 15 years out. (I remember anxiously awaiting the release of the stealth tranny for my RC-10, that's how long...)

I've got a TT-01 that's mostly a basher for me and my 6 year old to run in the parking lot, but lately I've been thinking of running it in a couple of races. I'm looking for recommendations on a new ESC. I'm looking for something reasonably priced, and I don't anticipate running anything much wilder than probably 15T or so - it's just for fun, after all, and I don't want to have to swap motors when it's my son's turn to drive.

Any thoughts?

=P
