Cant wait for all the new Tekin stuff to hit the shelves...

Seriously there is such a following of the Tekin brand that it would be good to offer a promotion along the lines of "trade in your Orange, and go back to Tekin!" or maybe a package deal where you get a speedy, BL motor, servo, charger, etc etc, so we can change all our gear over from brand X, back to Tekin, I'd do it in a flash...

Oh, and free stickers for anyone who wants them, that has to be the best and cheapest way of advertising, if there were 10,000+ Tekin stickers stuck on pit boxes around the world... I still have a few from when I had a 411G, but feel a bit silly when new racers ask me "whats Tekin?" so I stick them on my real car...

Any chance of a sponsorship/ set of new stickers/ T-shirt /hat etc?

Tekin Rocks!

Pete

You are right, they have always had a loyal following and still do today. Everyone including myself is really looking forward to new product releases, and there are plenty on the way......R1 brushless/brushed, FX brushed, B1 18th scale brushed, VCS Battery Nurse, etc.......

Sponsorships are already dealt for this year mate, maybe next year if you send your resume to scooter. Or you can always try the distributor in oz...

Last I heard was 3-4 weeks on the Battery nurse and the 18th brushed ESC and middle of March (estimated) for the FX and brushless, from what I understand, Tekin have been let down by a couple of suppliers, more than once.

The last article on this page may give you an idea :

http://www.teamtekin.com/Racing%20News.asp

.....and also just a few days ago Tekin driver Mike Dumas TQ'd in the Mod Touring class at the Snowbirds!

The R1 is getting rave reviews from everyone who has been lucky enough to drive it, and I assure you it will not disappoint.

I would say keep the input voltage at or below 8 cells and you should be able to run a 10T.

The cells aren't the problem, it is just the motors now, I wouldn't run anything below 10t to be safe

Yup, what Cookie Monster said Back in the day when the G12 CIII was released, 10T was about the hottest motor used for mod racing, so you should be good to go!
