Speedzone Lipo Packs

After much testing and deliberation, we have decided to enter the Lipo market, offering our current and prospective customers an option to our brand of matched NiMH packs.

There are advantages to both Lipo Packs and NiMH cells, so we will offer both power sources.

We will have some new 7.4v Lipo options in the coming weeks and will evolve our Lipo offering just as we have done with our NiMH cell offerings. Look for some great performance Lipo products, with great prices in the coming weeks. Exclusively from Speedzone!

Available now, is our first release in the Lipo market, the IP4200. The IP4200 is rated at 30C+ and features low resistance with 430+ seconds in runtime at 35amps. Wires exit the lipo case through the side and Deans style connectors are available as an option.

We have now released two new 7.4v LiPo Packs, a 5400 mAh 30c pack and a 5000 mAh 32C pack. Both hard case packs feature great runtime with low resistance.

The 5400 packs have shown runtime in excess of 550 seconds, voltage of 7.30+ and resistance in the low 8 range at 35amps. Banana style connectors come standard along with a standard balancing port.

The 5000 packs have shown runtime in excess of 520 seconds, voltage of 7.35+ and resistance in the low 7 range at 35amps. Wires are top mounted directly to the cells and come with a standard balancing port. Deans style connectors are available as an option.

Testing on packs was done through standard deans connectors, 72 degrees room temperature without any preheating of the LiPo packs. Charging was at 6 amps, discharging at 35 amps on a Competition Electronics GFX.

Both LiPo packs offer versatility and these latest offerings from Speedzone provide more options in today's R/C LiPo market. Couple that with the high-end performance of these Lipo Packs and we feel that we have winners in both the 5400 and 5000 mAh packs. Packs are available now through the Speedzone Website.

The Speedzone lipo packs are not currently on the ROAR approved list. Do you plan on doing this soon?

Update on lipos for 1/12 scale. We will have both a straight and saddle version of the 1S lipo. My goal is to release end of July.

I'm looking forward to getting the 1cell 12th scale LiPo's at the end of the month myself. Gavin will bring something special to the process I'm sure and it's a pleasure running for him.

Yes, these do have the humps in them. I can post pics if needed.

Does it come with the balance lead in the picture too?

Also...can I buy a couple extra balance lead like that separately from SpeedZone?

Post some how-to info(part#'s,website,etc) and I'll send a order you way ASAP.

Kevin, it does come with the balance lead and the deans connector, as pictured.
