Default Heat Question

I run dual 40c 5200mah in my erbe. over the weekend, i kept the car in my jeep with the batteries in it.It's been very hot here. I ran them til cut off sunday evening and when i took them out to charge them, the cases were split. Not completely but definitely more than they were. When i squeeze them, they feel very swelled up almost squishy sort of. I was hesitant but charged and balanced them. They charged and balanced perfectly.

Are they ok?

I would dispose of them, you are playing russian rollette. They can go at anytime, I would not charge them anymore. And yes lots heat will hurt the packs and also make sure your cut off does not drop the packs below 3.2v per cell that will damage them as well.

Imagine that happening while they are in your truck.

Any sign of puffing is not good and it will only get worse. They should not expand or puff at all.
