Default Issue with Sport Max 6000mAh 28C

I bought a new Sport Max 6000mAh 28C LiPo from my LHS here in Austin and have a problem. I connected the pack to my TriTon EQ charger (w/Balancer plug connected) and tried charging the pack at the chargers max rate of 5amp. It gave me an error of "voltage too low" and would not charge. I left it on the slow balance setting for a couple hours but it didn't help. I took the pack and charger to the hobby shop to show them what was happening. They tried it on a Triton 2 charger and it did the same thing. Then they changed the battery type to NiMH and charged it for about 5min. After they did that it would take a charge. Later that day I went to the track and put the pack on 5amp (highest setting) charge. About 2-1/2 hours later it had put in about 5100mAh and was just tricking in .2 amps but never got to the "End" screen . I needed the charger to hit my race pack so I removed the 6000 pack. Today I decided to finish charging the pack and it took another 3500 mAh of charge over about 120min and again never got the the end screen. The voltage was showing about 8.2v at the time I disconnected it.

Couple Questions:
Does this pack have the potential to have problems in the future?
Is this a normal situation for the pack to not take a charge out of the bag?
Should I continue charging until it gets to an end screen?
Do I need a charger that will go up to the 6000mAh setting?

Thanks,
ken
