Lipo puffed and it's barely 8 months old, what happened?

Lipo puffed and it's barely 8 months old, what happened?

I run dual SMC 28C 5000 lipos in my brushless truggy. I always ran it with a lipo cutoff and always kept it balanced. When I went to charge my batteries today I noticed one looked a bit bloated. I've never had a lipo go bad on me before so I'm curious as to how/why this happens. Do I have to buy two new batteries now or can I just replace it with the same one and run it together with the older one?
