Based on your motor setup I would run our 5200/24C pack as it runs real strong and the price is very appealing. I assume you want to do 4wd mod BL ? If so you should try a 7.5 that should be a good starting point.

We cycled a 9000/28C sample pack today and it looked pretty awesome.

Pack was charged at 10 amps and discharged at 35 amps. Voltage sensing leads were hooked on the 12 gauge wires were the Deans connector is soldered to the wires.

951 seconds 7.51 voltage and 4.8 IR

This pack should make good power in the E-Revo and Slash.

Production packs may have a bit less runtime as sample packs seem to have more capacity but we expect the voltage and IR to be the same.

So I run the 5200 24c in my E-revo,and would love to see a 3s version that would match them.I like running 5s,is there any combination coming, that will fit in a E-revo bay, that will allow me to do this?

Were releasing a 32/5500/28C softcase pack that will fit in the E-Revo compartment and the Slash with the optional higher battery mounting kit.

As for 5S packs for the E-Revo we don't have any plans to do any of these but we do have many flight packs coming out which might fit. I will look into this and postthe info if I find a packs that would fit with 5S.

Default Lipo Help

Danny,

Hello I am trying to speck out a battery for my losi eight8-T brushless conversion, and I find my self in need of some assistance. I have the Castle Creations Monster Max V3 ESC, with the 2200 brushless motor. The spur gear is a 46 tooth and the pinion I am starting out with is a 10 tooth I also have a 12, but am starting out with the 10. Reading in the Castle Creations manual it says that the ESC will draw 100+ amps, (Not knowing what the + equals). I was first leaning towards the SMC CMAX 5200 mAh 40+ C (Again not knowing what value to assign to the +), (5.2 X 40 = 208 continues amps (~$120)). Or if we look at the new SMC 9000 mAh 28C pack coming out at the end of the month (9 X 28 = 252 continues amps (~$125)). Is this formula good to use with SMC Lipo packs? I am looking to get a minimum of 20 minuets of run time, with a 4s setup. What would be the best SMC lipo batteries for this setup? The truck will be used 50% racing 50% bashing. I am not a hard core racer but do enjoy competition and testing my skills. I am not worried about top end speed, I am after all the torque that the truck can handle, as the track I run in is more technical. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.

When they say a 100 amps it's not continous. It bursts of 100+ amps.

Would 2 of our 9000 fit in your Losi ? If so that would give you some good runtime and they would be able to handle the amp draw easily. You must conider that they will be heavier than 2 of the 5200/40C.

Were also coming out with a softcase 5400/40C/4S2P pack that will fit in the AE 1/8th conversion.

Hey Danny, what would you suggest for a fast electric boat? I need it to be 6S, huge capacity. Usually, guys are getting 4-5 minutes out of a 8000mah pack.

At the moment, I am not running anything. All I need is the batteries.

I don't mind about the runtimes, 4-5 minutes is all I will need.

I'm not too sure what they run, but I'm certain that the packs are 25C+. Since getting these up to 60mph and over puts some strain on them, as you probably know.
