Any one out there have the exact measurements for the saddle pack? I am trying to see if it will fit in my buggy with modifying anything...

Thanks

The newest shipment of saddle packs that are shipping out have an updated case that is a bit bigger. We had to do this as sometimes the 10 gauge wire was pinching one of the cells in assmbley which would result in cell swelling.

Here is the update size L70.25 X W46.5 X H27.60

Hi Danny, I created this thread to try and help people compare sizes of LiPO packs to determine proper fit within their vehicles and I have the size for the SMC 4900, as taken directly off of the SMC website which does not match your post in this thread.

Is the website out of date or is your post out of date?

Thanks.

Also, will we see a SMC 40C C-Max Saddle Pack coming out anytime soon? Need to buy a LiPO for my D4.

I will get my employee to measure a pack and will post it as soon as he gets me the info.

Our new 5300/40C saddle pack in the same size case is due out next week in limited quantity and we should have a bigger shipment in 2 weeks from now.

What is the maximum height we can make the saddle packs for them to fit in all the offroad cars ?

Here is the size of our latest batch of saddle packs and new 40C packs.

H 27.5mm x W 46.5 x L 70mm

We increased the height and length some to better accomodate the 10 gauge wires as there was some issues with some cells getting pinched in the first batches creating swelling due to the pinching.

The first few batches were the size in my post above which is pretty much the same as on our website. We do need to update our website with all our new packs and correct sizes.

Stormer Hobbies should get some of the first ones as they normally backorder all our new packs.

So these are going to have wires like the past SMC saddles? Any chance of a plug type pack like some of the latest SMC stick packs? The wires are kinda of tight underneath the bodies of some of the 4 wheel buggies.

Danny, are both 4900 packs ROAR-approved? Seems like only the old ones would be since the new ones have changed in size and I see no update on their list.

We did inform ROAR about the change to our saddle pack and they really didn't comment so I'm not really sure.
