Welcome k_bojar. Glad to get some east coast reps! Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you!
thanks Actually curious about trying the EP cells - any special tricks to get them to preform the best?? I'm not sure anyone that I normally race with is using them

k_bojar-- Treat the EP cells like the IB. Charge them between 6-6.5amps and store them with a charge. They self discharge pretty hard and do not like to be discharged below .9 or so. Do not dead short them as you will just reduce runtime with no significant benefit. You will like these cells. They have incredible punch. They are a more durable cell then the IB's though and we have had better luck with them maintaining top performance longer then the IB cells. When you get them please post your feedback!
James-- I am hoping to leave tomorrow and be back in So Cal by Sat. I hopet to get to the track some time next week. I am having withdrawls!
Bob--I don't live in Orange County anymore, so not sure when I will get back out again. Hopefully soon though as I have not had any track time for too long. Casper will be back in town in a day or so and he is hoping to get there soon. You and your son must be needing some of the new cells though...
James--After racing, I use anywhere between 20-35 amps to discharge the pack down. Heat is the enemy here, so a fan could be in order, but never use the fan during charging. I'm actually using the Much More discharger, so it discharges at 35 amps in pulse mode, so the cells don't get hot. I get the benefits of a high discharge (like race conditions) while keeping the heat down (like a lower discharge amperage). Hope that answers your question... Casper does something similar but doeas not use the Much More unit, so you'll be interested in his practice. He should be back in town today or tomorrow and will surely answer your question....
Thanks Keith! I came up on a 30 amp integy reacter discharger and wanted to be sure before I used it. I was concerned about the heat and I'll watch it closely using a fan.
When I discharge my packs before I charge them I use my chargers. My integy chargers discharge at 20 amps and my much more's discharge at 10 amps. Again heat is the issue. 30 should be fine if you are dumping left over charge but is a little hard if you are discharging a full pack. I do not think the discharge rate is all that important other then it effects the time it takes to take the pack down.
Glad you like the EP cells. We feel these are the next greatest battery pack in R/C. We just need to spread the word that slingshot is the place to get them!
Keith- wanted to thank you again for Personally delivering our packs and supplies.
I did have a little trouble reading the invoice. But I think I got it.
