Casper or Ryan - Have you had any track time ith the Ultima yet? I have an itchy finger right to pull the triger and get one. Are parts readaly available?
Ryan ran his for the first time tonight. He likes it. Made a couple quick changes to the kit setup and already feels like it is as good or better then his Losi. A little more track time to tweak out the setup a little bit and is looks like a winner. I have both cars built, painted and ready but it does not look like I will get to drive them until Sunday!
James,
John and I met at socal last night and I got my first few packs on the car. Those Kyosho shocks are second to none. So smooth and easy to change oil on. The car is quick and feels solid on the track. With only a few changes, the car is fast and will only get faster. I am extremely happy with all of the Kyosho cars and want more track time each day. It is going to be a fun weekend.
Ya I would love to try one! Never really liked any other cars than ae and mf1's. But dont know tell you try, one time I got to drive the new traxxes 1/10 buggy(bandit or something) and wow is that a sweet car I never thought they would be good but that thing worked GREAT!
Day one of qualifying is over. Ashley and I are both in all of the A's so far. I think I'm probably top 3 in both stock buggy and truck. There is a $1000 bonus for the guy/gal that is the overall top qualifier in both combined stock classes. In the mod classes, you MUST run all three mod classes. I might actually have a shot at the $$$!
Kyle drive like an animal today. He is ahead of several of the A-Team factory guys in both classes. In the last round of buggy, Kyle led the first four minutes ahead of Maifield, Truhe, Robbers, Fisher, Root and Eaton. The top SIX guys were within 3 seconds of each other! At one time, the top four guys were all in the air at the same time over the same triple jump! It was one of the best races I have ever seen.
The Banzai/Slingshot crew is doing pretty darn good. I will post an update tomorrow night.
