Carbide are great when they are sharp. They are good for about 20 cuts then need to be sharpened (or replaced for a $1) The pain comes in setting up the lathe everytime to get the bit the right hieght and stuff like that.

Nice!!!!
I enjoy the classics sooo much.
Before the Ball diff!!
And since this is a Battery thread, It used to Be run 1200sc's not scr's, or what ever other Stick pack you could 'find' at the bargain basement.

Wellll before any kind of COOOL racing label was on each cell!

Yeah the yellow shrink with red lettering? Those were the day. I remember when 1400SCR were out then 1700SCRC hit the market. Everyone said you would never need 1700's for stock. Not enough punch and wasted runtime!

Purple Panasonics!!!!1300mah.
Still got a fresh 'looking' one of those. Hate to see what happened after trying to charge it now.

I think it's super of you to poll the drivers Casper.
They are all Valid and very debatable topics.
With sounding like a "pinko commie" I'm gonna wait to vote until I decide about doing the Jbrl this year.
As it is not my place to vote, if I'm not gonna race the series.

I noticed another Slingshot thread on the forum as well and it has no post in it. Why is that?

We will add stuff shortly. Still figuring out what to do with that section! We will have deals and other info posted down there eventually. Keith is not allowed to "sell" stuff up here. We are only allowed to have fun and shoot the breeze. If a battery related topic comes up we can discuss that as well per the "rules" but down there we can talk details of prices and sales and other "buisness" stuff like that.

Someone actually posted on there, so I changed the title of it and made a post that linked to this site. That thread shows up on the "front page" and we can start numerous threads on there. I played with the admin controls a little bit and it's pretty cool....
