Hi folks,

Did some bashing with my TNX last Sun at SK track.
While bashing, my TNX just went out of control as if there was a frequency conflict. Luckily it stops half way, else it would have gone to punggol.... (similar to what happened to Kickstart)
The funny thing was that no one was playing at that time.

This is the second time. Suspect that the frequency interference may be due to the LRT station. I am using 27 Mhz AM.

Any clue? Had anyone experience freq conflict while playing at SK?

Cheers!

Add in a fail safe and set it to "brake" when there is any frequency interference, u will be safe from run away trucks

FYI ,punggol pond is not far from there ,might be also ppl playing boat

mine was worst...not just frequency conflicts...adding a fail safe is not really safe at all...after much experimenting...i realised that it's actually my switch not working properly...dump it and got a new one...solve all the problem!

Use a dust cover.
Better still - Get rid of the switch. Use a “Y”-lead to connect directly from battery to switch.

Fm our past experience bashing around the whole Hougang / Punngol area,
certain part of the estate do hv interference problem, especially when using AM radio. Heard AM frequency is most susceptible 2 interference, even fm high voltage underground / overhead power cable. The most frustrating thing is that the interference is always intermittent, making it difficult 2 pinpoint the actual culprit.

Chances of interference fm Punggol park's pond R/C boats is rather slim as it is quite a distance away, at least 3 km. There is this R/C plane flying site oso at the previous Punggol Fishery Port Rd just across the TPE which is nearer. But then, the signal fm ur radio which is nearer 2 ur receiver would b much stronger than any stray signal fm them 2 cause interference. The other & most likely possibility as what other guys suggested could b the radio box ON/OFF switch or battery-pack connector.

A dust cover 4 this switch is a must 4 off-road use & is good enough with a squirt of WD-40 periodically, especially after 'WET' bashing . Oso check out whether the soldering of the wire inside the switch is still in good condition, as they do & can break off, even when rather new. While a 'Y'-lead connector has its advantage, it is rather troublesome 2 hv 2 open the radio box cover everytime u 1 2 turn the power on or off. Having this connector hanging outside the radio box 4 convenience would b like a sore thumb sticking out & worst, waiting 2 b crushed again. In most cases, the battery pack connector is most likely always the culprit due 2 the pins contact becoming loose. Never ever disconnect the battery pack or any other connector by pulling on the wire. Do it by holding both side connectors itself.

Default Interferrance @ ponggol

Hi there! Just want to give a piece of advice about the interferrance in ponggol/sengkang. not very sure if it is still going on. but years ago, maybe about 15years. a few friends and I were also running around in the "kampong" ponggol. we had alway came across a site where we always see people that are dress corporately or in number 3(SAF). it was years later, when my cousin was sent to the intelligent department of SAF that he told me that it was their work site. thus those interferrance that you guys got, could be from their machines that they use to tap our next door country's conversation.
