2014 NOOB Singapore Open Buggy Registration

Time : 2-6pm (registration opens at 1pm)
Race Fees :
> RaceWorks member : $20/- per class
> Non-member : $25/- per class
Tires : SWEEP SQUARE ARMOR (front & rear tires for 4WD Class / rear tires only for 2WD Class)
IMPORTANT : Please note that for the 2014 season NOOB races only specially marked tires purchased at RaceWorks *may* be used. Update : Based on racer feedback, we have decided to allow tires purchased last season for Round 1 as well. However, we do have to implement the 2014 "marked" tires from Round 2 onwards and we appreciate your understanding on this matter.
About the 2014 marked tires
This season's SWEEP SQUARE ARMOR tires are identical to last season's in thread and compound so all tires are still good for practice. The new "race-marked" tires can be identified with the "SWEEP" logo only visible on one side of the tire wall instead of on both sides in previous batches sold. When purchasing your tires from RaceWorks for racing, please check to ensure that the tires have this marking only on one side. Regarding the foams sold with the tires, the new tires are now supplied with firmer GREY foams instead of the previous WHITE. In our testing we've found both foams to perform differently but that the GREY foams provide better overall support to the tire especially in preventing the sidewalls from collapsing under cornering. Please note that RaceWorks will not require any specific foam to be run in the tire - so you can run the white, grey or any other foam you prefer in your race tires provided the tire itself is appropriately marked. I hope this clarifies the tire rules. If unsure, please inquire at the shop or drop a PM to me (BloodClod) and I will answer all your queries.

- racers should come for registration by 11am and the race will start promptly at 12pm and is targeted to end at 6pm.
- organizers aim to run 3xheats and 3xmains (total 6 runs), in the event of a large turnout, 4-minute heats may be run instead of the usual 5-minute heats. For extremely large turnout, expect event to end up to 30 minutes later.
- maximum number of cars on track per run will be capped at 12.

About the 2014 marked tires
This season's SWEEP SQUARE ARMOR tires are identical to last season's in thread and compound so all tires are still good for practice. The new "race-marked" tires can be identified with the "SWEEP" logo only visible on one side of the tire wall instead of on both sides in previous batches sold. When purchasing your tires from RaceWorks for racing, please check to ensure that the tires have this marking only on one side. Regarding the foams sold with the tires, the new tires are now supplied with firmer GREY foams instead of the previous WHITE. In our testing we've found both foams to perform differently but that the GREY foams provide better overall support to the tire especially in preventing the sidewalls from collapsing under cornering. Please note that RaceWorks will not require any specific foam to be run in the tire - so you can run the white, grey or any other foam you prefer in your race tires provided the tire itself is appropriately marked. I hope this clarifies the tire rules. If unsure, please inquire at the shop or drop a PM to me (BloodClod) and I will answer all your queries.

About the 2014 marked tires
This season's SWEEP SQUARE ARMOR tires are identical to last season's in thread and compound so all tires are still good for practice. When purchasing your tires from RaceWorks for racing, please check to ensure that the tires have this marking only on one side. Regarding the foams sold with the tires, the new tires are now supplied with firmer GREY foams instead of the previous WHITE. In our testing we've found both foams to perform differently but that the GREY foams provide better overall support to the tire especially in preventing the sidewalls from collapsing under cornering. Please note that RaceWorks will not require any specific foam to be run in the tire - so you can run the white, grey or any other foam you prefer in your race tires provided the tire itself is appropriately marked. IMPORTANT : Please note that for the 2014 season NOOB races only specially marked tires purchased at RaceWorks *may* be used. Update : Based on racer feedback, we have decided to allow tires purchased last season for Round 1 as well. However, we do have to implement the 2014 "marked" tires from Round 2 onwards and we appreciate your understanding on this matter.
About the 2014 marked tires
This season's SWEEP SQUARE ARMOR tires are identical to last season's in thread and compound so all tires are still good for practice. The new "race-marked" tires can be identified with the "SWEEP" logo only visible on one side of the tire wall instead of on both sides in previous batches sold. When purchasing your tires from RaceWorks for racing, please check to ensure that the tires have this marking only on one side. Regarding the foams sold with the tires, the new tires are now supplied with firmer GREY foams instead of the previous WHITE. In our testing we've found both foams to perform differently but that the GREY foams provide better overall support to the tire especially in preventing the sidewalls from collapsing under cornering. Please note that RaceWorks will not require any specific foam to be run in the tire - so you can run the white, grey or any other foam you prefer in your race tires provided the tire itself is appropriately marked. I hope this clarifies the tire rules. If unsure, please inquire at the shop or drop a PM to me (BloodClod) and I will answer all your queries.

Please note:
- racers should come for registration by 1pm and the race will start promptly at 2pm and is targeted to end at 6pm.
- organizers aim to run 3xheats and 3xmains (total 6 runs), in the event of a large turnout, 4-minute heats may be run instead of the usual 5-minute heats. For extremely large turnout, expect event to end up to 30 minutes later.
- maximum number of cars on track per run will be capped at 12.
