Hey Jason, I see you have gone with the HPI Savage. I always liked that truck. Have you tried it yet?

Great.
So far I have bought all my batteries from HobbyKing, no problems, even the dirt cheap ones have worked well for me.

I just ordered 2 turnigy batteries off hobbyking this afternoon.
Now looking for a decent charger, preferably locally.
Saw the SKYRC T6755 selling at $110 @ raceworks.
But online reviews seems to be bashing that brand.
Any recommendations?

I got the GT Power one from Rotor. The internal power supply stop working after a few months. I got a cheap 2nd hand laptop charger to power it now. Guess I wouldnt recomend it!

I know SkyHobby sells a Hyperion charger, heard they were good. Frankly concidering most of these are made in China, I would have just got one from HobbyKing.

Yes. Reason for saying that is I believe most of these China chargers are identical inside. Unless you go for the real expensive ones.

My GT Power one so far has been able to charge my batts & ballance them(using a laptop power supply). Only I could have gotten it from HK for 3/4 price. That time I did not know about HK.

Support the local brand and get Revolectrix. It's pretty much top of the line charger which even HobbyKing sells it at a premium price. You won't go wrong with Revolectrix or iCharger.

With the correct combination, you can parallel-charge all your identical cell-count lipos at once. I do that for my 5 packs of lipos with my iCharger, 30mins and all are done. Time is money, I think it is only logical that we invest correctly for chargers. It will save you alot of time and efforts.

I can't argue with that, if you have the money...

Well, the lower range one from Revo is still in my budget of less than $100.
Might give revo a shot.

Looking at Cellpro Multi4 Charger with PS12VDC PSU Combo + Cellpro (JST PA) 4s Charger-to-Great Planes (JST XH) or Kokam (JST EH/HR) Adapter

Less than $90?

Anyway, i will probably charge my batteries in office.

Using turnigy 5000mah 30c 5s lipo. Had 2 go dead after about 25 runs. Run times seem not bad, about 20min on each battery. Do NOT get the G.T. charger, my cells have up to 0.12v difference between them after balance charging, and now the internal transformer has went dead.
