Hello SG'rean,

I'll be flying to Singapore for some business in February and I'm kinda interested to know where are the good cheap hobby store there.

Typically, i'm interested in getting the Futaba 3PK, a few good servos and Serpent Parts or hop-ups.

Is the serpent parts cheaper compare to parts in the US? The only place i know that carry serpent parts is Hobbylink in Far East Plaza. Well that was 3 years ago. Is there any other shops carry Serpent?

Thanks in advance.

PS : Miss the food there!!!

For 3PK, can try your luck at Swan Hobbies, 2nd floor at Orchard Plaza is so far the cheapest I can find. But goods are moving way fast so sometimes no stock.
Other shop that have stock most possibly is Taisheng (Tamiya Dist) down at North Bridge Rd.

I don't play GP, but Hobbylink should be the main dist here in SG that carry Serpent.

Hope this helps, welcome to SG and enjoy!

What are the difference between high end models of such controllers? Futaba 3PK and Sanwa M8 are popular models locally. Any major difference in their features?

Red-Ant:
i'm a Yokomo car driver and as far as i know, the Yokomo GT-4 RTR that you're refering to is a very good car. as you are aware, it comes with a stock .18 engin and is the most powerful stock car out from the box.

you said the price is $550, are you sure? as far as i know, the price is around $650 to $670 and it comes WITH a factory made controller (AM mode) and the body shell are NOT done up (unless you take the one that is on display).
