Was practising small layout yesterday...end up running the big layout with Wee Kiat and friends....Big layout MORE FUN....See no reason why the change to small layout..cut short final time already not shiok! C main only 10 mins! Where's the fun in running? Might as well run 5 mins heat! if really want to cut short time. Not as if we have 50-60 racers for one race. Organizer pls give it a thought.

If I recall, some eons back, uncle sunny change the track to accommodate 10th scalers and to provide alternative layouts.
I do admit that PA does not really provides many alternatives and the big sweeper is the crowd drawer. Nevertheless.. Whether it is big or small layout it should be fun and provides some set up challenges to the racers. Maybe the big layout provides more 'shiok'.. but to go fast in small layout also can be 'shiok' too, right?
Ultimately, it the organizing committee decision and our right to choose to or not join. Perhaps oranganzing committee next time can do vote or place layout format for the remaining scheduled races for the series.

My concern is not so much on the layout of the track although yes, i do prefer the bigger layout...
My issue is with the finals time that has been shorten as VONES said. I would definitely like to run longer (e.g. 45 mins or 1 hour) rather than run shorter, makes the finals more interesting in planning tyre strategies and etc.

Small layout is great for 1/10 cars.
But I think it's really too small for 1/8 scale. No chance for those
top drivers to display top speed for their top range engines ...
Finals timing is really really too short.. If got into c mains, might all
well go home. No point waiting.. I see some guys practising hard.
Are u going to spend all those time n money for that 10, 20 or 30 mins race?
Since the number of racers are hovering in the 20~30 range, maybe organiser
could consider 10 mins qualifying rather than having longer break period
between qualifying..
Hey, it's only once a month... Let's make full use of the race day!
Please don't let the spirit of 1/8 racing die away...

hmmmm... since everyone giving their opinion...
big layout... small layout... at the end of the day... its a race... where all can get together to have some competitive fun...
personally... i like the big layout... but if its a decision made by RCMC to run the small layout, I will respect it and just concentrate on having fun... cos... i dont think i can go JITC or Titties () invitational and say I want to run a particular layout...
as for the cut in timing... i too am disappointed... but again... if its the decision of the committee, i am sure they have their reasons... one that i can think of is the wonky weather, and maybe they just want to ensure that everyone gets to run the finals b4 the weather closes in... well... thats my assumption... but some clarification definitely will be welcomed by everyone
that said... i am sure, as with all other organising committees, it is not easy, nor can they please everyone...
every month I just look forward to the RCMC race, and I sincerely hope I get to see everyone there this sunday... it will just not be the same without all u guys... guys who are ever so willing to lend a helping hand, poke fun at other racers, etc
ok.. enuff said.. again.. just my 22 cents worth of thoughts.. not targetted at anyone
