Hey guys...
It is me again.... just back from last week's race at Trackside... Wisconsin..
It was really a busy week!
Track of the world famous RC commentator Scotty Ernest...Those of you who have raced at the titc or any world events will know who he is...
A total of 180 entries this year.including rally class at the off road track next door.. it was a 2 day event...
Again I had to drive 4 hours to get there..but this time I had 2 friends to accompany me...meeting me there...
In GT2, 17.5 brushless with 30 entries... I started the race on the wrong note blowing up my 17.5 motor... bringing me into a bad heat for the second round.... Due to the huge amounts of entries... there was only time for 2 rounds of heats before the triple a mains... I unfortunately could only manage A-main 7th on the grid due to bad traffic in the 2nd round of heats...
Finals were bad as it saw me having to climb through the field.... The leaders had a run away while i was desperately playing catch up... I finished a respectable 4th..missing the medal by 1 point... tough luck...
Mini, 45 entries...I ran my m05 at first but was somehow speed through by the m04s... Yes.. they still allow m04 here for the tcs.... I managed to get hold of one at $40usd 2nd hand and was busy getting it to work for the whole day... i however could only make it work in the last final.....finishing a 6th in the A main.... not too bad for 45 drivers i must say..
An eventful weekend I must say and now it is back to my nightless work in this part of america....
I guess I will try to find some time for the nationals later in August ... for now....time to catch some sleep.....

I am allowed 2 classes.. any class... but I only brought my ta05 and my mini over from Singapore... I was actually planning to run in GT1 instead but decided to go with GT2 as there was a bigger competition. I guess for the nationals I might consider the GT1. GT1 uses 13.5 motors while GT2 uses 17.5. BUt man are the cars fast with the tekin.
The events are equivalent to the final round of our local series as the top 10 racers of this event will qualify for the finals in LA where they will compete for the ticket.
Tamiya however is not very big here in this part of the world though... so most Tracks only host this once a year unless you follow the series and go all around USA.
Mini class is hot here with all racers having at least 40 entries....
