To ALL Participants who took part in the RCMC RACE 24&25 APRIL'10
First, on behalf of our club, RCMC, I would like to thank all of you, yes, drivers & mechanics and especially our overseas guests (from Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia) and of course to our local guys for making this event possible. Even the weather has been kind to us!
Secondly, I would also like to thank our very own RCMC committee members, they are our Race I.C; Ian Wong, BK Lim, Wui Kiat, Joe Hwee and SK (our Chairman), for their time (and for making several trips to the track prior to the event) to ensure everything is in order.
(So, ALL PARTICIPANTS out there, please be kind, polite and thank them the next time you see them, they are all VOLUNTEERS (like myself, except that my job is a lot easier as i am only in charge of $$$...**), without them, we may not be able to carry out the event smoothly for you).
Lastly, I would like to deliver our thanks to the following persons:
1. Alvin Chia (aka fatboy) for putting up the NICELY SHOT race pictures for all to see. Thanks!
2. Sam Craig (HHH) for your compliments and proposal of your kind donations to the club. Being a Treasurer, this is of course the most pleasant news, we shall look forward and would thank you in advance.
3. Shameer (DeRomeo), we're glad you have thoroughly enjoyed the event!
Last but not least, its definitely your participation, patience and your sportsmanships that's the most vital ingredients in all aspect of events. Give yourself a kudos for that!
Lastly, just a little more information for you, our club RCMC receives its income from Membership fees and race entries from our regular race events. After deducting all race expenses, the surplus, if any shall go towards recurring payments such as IFMAR/FEMCA ANNUAL FEE, grass cutting, cleaning services, general maintenance of the track such as a new paint job on the track markings, pit sheds, etc. So, our club's kitty are not quite in the pink of health so your support in our events are greatly appreciated.
For more information on your contribution towards our club, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our arms are always wide open to welcome you.
Cheers,
Marion

overall it had been a good event. it could had been better if the 8th scale final could had an complete final. should had let ran the 10th scale lower finals till the semi final then go back to 8th scale final. it was all because of 1 person who even overwrite the race director's planning that object to it, thus it is a shy that we could not had a complete 8th scale run, even with the good blessing of the good weather on Sunday.

I would like to thank everyone involved in making this event a real highlight in my racing calendar every year.
I love racing in Singapore, despite the heat and humidity (I nearly melted on Friday and Saturday haha) and I hope you continue to use that 1/8th scale layout next year. Its great to see these cars use all their power as they fly around the sweeper and onto the straight!
Thanks to Dennis Ong for your help and support in car setup as well as being my taxi service to and from the track.
Thanks Alvin Chia for pitting for me, Ian Wong and Wui Kiat for their help too.
Thanks to SK Tan and PengHeng Lim for their hospitality and making sure I always experience great Singaporean food.
Thanks to the lovely Marion for providing the very nice lunches each day and keeping all us boys under control.
Also thanks to Joe for his race directing and Mr Time Keeper for his efforts in running the computer.
Congratulations to the winners!
I look forward to coming back next year and I hope to bring a few more Aussie drivers with me!
Regards

Dear RCMC Members/non-Members,
RE: DONATION
We are pleased to announce that Sam Craig is donating to our club and his donation shall be utilised to purchase 2 units of solid wooden beach bench which shall be placed permanently at the PA track area for all to use.
However, as our club would require about 10 such units which would cost an estimation sum of S$1000.00 in total, therefore with this thread we hope to appeal for more drivers/members out there to come forward for such donations. (Note: these table/benches are second-hand ones and it costs S$100 per unit).
We thank Sam Craig for his initiative and donations, and would look forward for more donations to come, hopefully.
For more information on how you can contribute, you may send your sms to 97422207.
Thanks.

Dear Members/Drivers,
RE: DONATION
Further to my appeal for donation as above, I'm glad to announce that I have a sweet gentleman who came up with his generous donations a sum which we can now proceed to make the purchase of the benches. Delivery of these benches have been arranged and hopefully it can be delivered by this week or next.
Our next objective is to purchase gazibo/durable tents (once we reach the target amount) to erect at the paddock so that our regular visiting members can have a complete facility with tables and shed over their heads.
So, with this thread I hope more donations can come in soon.
Finally, a very Big "Thank You" to this sweet gentleman who wishes to remain anonymous.
Cheers!!
