Korea got better things to do than going to hobby shops...

Unless you're going to North Korea instead...

I rather pay the freight from Malaysia to Singapore than Korea to Singapore.

This is what I found on another RC forum.

RC supply shops in Korea:

<AnyRC: http://anyrc.com/ mostly in Korean language and difficult to find physically, but has good LiPo batteries.

Mirage Club: http://www.mirageclub.co.kr/main.htm The owner of this club speaks English and is a really nice guy who is very active in all forms of soaring. He offers European gliders in Korea.

JK Flight: http://www.jkflight.com/ Mr. Kim makes his own EPP planes. I now fly his Zenith and Spitfire. His plane kits are highly finished and he too is an active flyer on the slopes.

Hobbytek: http://www.hobbytek.co.kr/ This is a self-proclaimed greatest hobby supplier site in Korea. They carry Estarmodels, small electric models as well as a host of other hobby items beyond R/C.

Another approach to finding good hobbyshops is to go through web sites of R/C enthusiasts. One that I have participated actively in the past is Korean RC Groups at http://rcgroups.co.kr/portal.php This site is rather cumbersome to use but gliders and slope soarers congregate here.

An older and maybe more thrifty group of flyers belong to a group called Xevious Club at http://www.xeviousclub.com/ Mr. Kim of JK Flight is active in this group.>

When I was stationed in Korea, we had an awesome hobby shop outside the gates of Camp Casey (Tongduchon) was the city name.

This site has the most comprehensive compilation of R/C shops in Korea. Take your time to go through all the shops, and hopefully you will find one near your hotel.
