Default RX waterproofing?

hi guys, i know of people who apply silicone sealant to waterproof escs, just not sealing the heatsink connectors, is it possible to apply the silicone sealant to a standard AM receiver to have the same waterproof effect? i notice that the standard AM receiver does not get warm/hot at all, hence thought of the idea.

please give me comments and feedback. thanks!

Use balloon easier. Boat player use this method if there is no waterproof compartment.

Anyway make sure its non-conductive type of sealant.

Bro even if u waterproof everything if ur car gets wet your bearings, drive train will get rust n erode off.

Tiny sand particles will get in to your bearings. Well if that's your way of bashing.

Very expensive!

we use condoms ... cheap ones (because it is harder to get ballons than condoms)... some sealant have acetic acid so it might destroy the copper or metal part of the electronics.

Yup, use only NEW ones...

I never use the above mentioned though; I never practised the 'precaution protection'... (His AM receiver will not; he could use 2 balloon and 2 condoms and it will not get hot at all...)

As some FASST receiver will get way too hot if they are wrap in a ballon or condom or whatever... Don't run on a wet track; that's the safest.
