Allan why will be a 2wd wortless compared to a 4wd. One good example is Glenn using a B4 beating the rest of the guys using 4wd buggies?
I think a 2wd will be a handfull to drive compared to a 4wd, but 2wd feels lighter compared to 4wd from my point of view comparing my slash with my B44.

it's the essence of driving... some ppl prefer to race 2wd... just a different kind of driving... it needs a lot of finesse to drive it properly... 4wd is just more forgiving...

Yup jammin and hyper also have but their platform is based on 1/8 buggy, they look much more heavier compared with traxxas 4x4 or any 2wd sct trucks in the market. Although I think it can handle much more power specially if you use a 1/8 bl system. But like you said it will be much more easier to drive.

Hi I drive a slash too with a 5.5t bl system from HW, what u can do to have more straight line stability is to fill ur diff with a thick diff oil, I'm using 100000wt diff oil since it's the only one available here, but from what I read they recommend 500000wt oil.
Also Tein is right front toe in is not applicable for offroad use, what u can do is to set it up to zero.
I also did placed 3oz lead wt in the back under the esc to put more weight at the rear. Actually a 2wd is a challenge to drive specially in loose track conditions as in ur case sand, a little finesse on steering is needed.
Currently I'm using 1/8 buggy tires with a wheel adapter in place, sure enough it made the truck more stable, although some realism is lost. I'm using 1/8 tire since for me I find it expensive to get the scale tires for sc truck. Also a 1/8 scale buggy tire is just a few mm taller than an sct tire. If u remove the pins on a 1/8 buggy tire the diameter will be the same as an sc truck

I'm not a fan of 2wd thats for sure. i find it very hard to drive. 
ya like all traxxas its RTR, takes away the fun of assembling
