I think it irks EVERYONE of us. 
But racing is racing, doesn't come cheap. A buddy once said to another R/C buddy... "you want a cheap hobby, do ORIGAMI"... the fella went silent...
F1 tires last a hell of a short distance...
The only reason (i think) that the 2 AE RC12R5 drivers had a higher error factor was because they had to LAP the others AND their car was at least 0.205secs faster (best lap) that caused the E.factor to increase...
OH, ISTC starts today!

Another factor. last lap dumping. They dumped pretty hard.
