Visiting Singapore...where are all the good R/C shops located?
Hello all!
I'm about to head out on a business trip to Singapore and was wondering where all the good R/C shops are located. I may pick up a few items while I'm out there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
- Paulie

Well, I managed to find the shop at Orchard Plaza this last weekend. Talked to Winnie. Very nice and helpful.
May have to go back and buy something from her
In looking for a spare Dark Impact body for my DF-03, she said 1/10 off road buggies are not to popular here.
Mostly drifting and 1/8 scale buggies. What do most of you guys drift with? Back in Okinawa, Yokomo is really popular, as is Tamiya.
Winnie had a lot of HPI stuff, which I also like, but sadly, HPI parts from Japan take a while to obtain...
Anyhoo, I look forward to getting out and seeing more shops here in Singapore. I really like it here. I think I'll have to come back on vacation.
I still have a good little while left, so I hope to get out to more of the shops in the area.

Not many more shops in the area. But you're from Japan, I think what we have here pales in comparison to what you have over there!
Anyway, Stargek is the Tamiya stockist and Tai Sing is the HPI stockist here.
You may want to check out one of the EP track at Race Craft Infinity.

Sweet! Thanks! Yeah, we do have some really good shops in Okinawa. For Tamiya, and Yokomo, very much so...not much in the way of HPI though.
I'd love to check out those shops if I can, and also that race track. Is there a good time to go to that race track when there will be a lot of people there? I'd love to check out the local scene here.

Don't know about the Sanwa Mx-3, but Swan (shop at Orchard Plaza, owner is Winnie) sells the DX3R at SGD$400 (or was it $300? Can't remember; she quoted two prices, one for controller and another for other stuff that I picked up as well, but i highly think that it's $400). Anywho, from my personal experience, the DX3R is a VERY good radio system with nice ergonomics and performance, IMO.
