In the process of sorting out and preparing to ship out my collection. So took this opportunity to take some pictures and share with "oldies" lover. Ironically, I started collecting these models from the Americans two decades ago and now it seems that I will eventually sell my collection back to them

The effort to lug around a heavy car battery to charge up the 6V pack twice is also unforgettable.

I'm not old bird lah just that I have a thingy for cars of yesteryear. Till today my driving sucks big time I just appreciate the old style car when we as a kid are able to "fabricate" a chassis by cutting from stiffer styrene plate for those "pan" type car like Toyota LB Turbo in order to save money (where can afford original fibre-glass chassis) . Cutting out more holes to save weight or adding styrene strips to stiffen the chassis. Those days where got counter sunk screws one?!? Ha! Sneaking into "technical" class with "older brother"/ "Tai Lo" to use the industrial size bench press to drill out the holes etc. Truly this is what I call "mod" the car Not like now where we can buy "off the rack" hop ups parts. Full bearings hop ups were already very big thing leow costing 1/3 or more of the kit's price!! That's where we invented the "top secret colgate theory" for the brass bushings. I almost fainted when I discovered that blxxdy Hot Shot had so many bearing!!!
I think I still had a 6 V hump pack lying around. Will post a picture for oldie fans if I can find them

Wah jchng if you want to sell off any, let me know first ok, I especially dig the 80's buggies.
A little OT, but do any of you other old birds dig the Tomy Takara Tamiya Q-Steers? They soo rock! The children browsing at Isetan don't know where they come from and don't understand, but oh man I can't stop buying them!
And a few years back San-S made a series of blind boxed Tamiya mini buggies that were very detailed. They were approximately 1/64 scale. Here's what the grasshopper looked like:
