1. RCMC Membership
On behalf of the Marine Parade Community Club, they would like to remind the R/C enthusiast that the PA Circuit is strictly for member ONLY. Apparently they see many active non member 1/8 players are playing in our circuit, please help to remind them on this issue. Please be informed that the CC will also conduct on site random check starting from 1st of June.
Membership forms will be available on the 1st of June race for those that would like to register or renew their membership.
We are also working on the membership drive to be approved as soon as possible and we will keep everyone updated on whether this will be approved as soon as possible.
We thank everyone for their kind understanding.

Race Report
It was a fun and eventful race day at the RCMC PA campsite track last Sunday with a total of 40 racers (20 for 1/10 scale and 18 for 1/8 scale). The track was blessed with a clear blue sky with lots of sunshine in the afternoon and cool weather towards the later part of the afternoon. The race started about 1 and an hour hours later due to the waiting of the track to dry after the heavy rain from the night before. We would like to thank everyone for helping out with drying the track in the morning.
A-main 1/10 scale

This has got to be one of the most exciting 1/10 scale A-main finals for a long time. Ben Seet from Hobbybug (the ever supportive racing team) took TQ after 3 rounds of heats, with Phillip Lee in 2nd position and 3rd Erwin Luhur. The 45 minute A-main started at a furious pace with Ben Seet in 1st, Phillip a close 2nd followed by Barry, Tom Goh and Jesse.
10 minutes into the race and Ben and Phillip driving their Kyoshos RRR were pulling away from the rest of the pack, as they were already 2 laps ahead from the 3rdpositon car. However, the Xray NT-1s of Barry, Jesse and Tom Goh were having great battle for 3rd and traded positions for the most of the next 20 mins. Barry even had to repair a stripped second gear, which cost him about 3 mins in the pits but still managed come back to compete for 3rd position. With 10 mins left and Barry had an engine problem and had to retire from the race leaving Tom and Jesse to slug it out. All this was happening while Ben and Phillip were comfortably in the lead for the most of the race. Phillip was only about 9 seconds behind Ben with about 5 mins left and most of us were itching for a close finish and that was exactly what we got!
Phillip was closing in on Ben 1 second a lap when at the 43rd minute mark; Ben had a slight tangle with 3rd place Jesse which caused Phillip to overtake Ben. With 1 and half minutes left, Phillip and Ben were neck and neck for 3 laps with Ben pushing hard trying to regain 1st position. Coming into the last corner on the last lap, Ben tried to make an outside lunge diving into the finish line but Phillip held the inside line and managed to finish as Champion with Ben in an photo finish 2nd and Jesse Wu in 3rd position. One of the best races so far this year. Thank you guys for a really exciting A-main Final.
A-main 1/8 Scale
Series 1 defending TQ holder Tay Wui Kiat (Motonica P8.0r) had a tough time on his hands as the 1/8 scale for series 2 saw many competitive racers like Nelson Lee (Mugen MRX-4R), Sam Cheng (Serpent 960), Andrew Chin (Mugen MRX-4R) and many more. Qualifying was tough as we saw the top 6 qualifiers clocking 23 laps with only 8 seconds apart.
The start of the A-main was very close as there was no position change from the qualifying positions for the first 10mins. Nelson Lee in 1st, Tay wui Kiat in 2nd and Sam Cheng in 3rd. Wui kiat ran out of fuel somewhere around the 15min mark which dropped him to 3rd position with Sam Cheng taking 2nd. Nelson Lee was comfortably leading the race for 15 minutes until his front belt broke and had to retire from the race. That moved Sam Cheng from Hobbylink temporary into the lead with Jesse, wui kiat, Don Chng and Andrew Chin following close behind. Chia Teck Fong and Erwin Luhur were also clocking very fast times but had car issues and lost touch with the leaders.
There were a few odd mistakes here & there and car problems from the top 5 drivers which eventually the most consistent racer Don Chng driving a Sheperd Velox (Velox debut race) taking the lead at the 25min mark and never looking back. The field eventually sorted out itself with Don Chng winning the National Series 2 with his RB powered Sheperd Velow. 2nd place went to Andrew Chin 3 laps behind with his Ninja powered Mugen MRX-4R and Jesse Wu in 3rd with his Serpent 960 also 3 laps behind.
