Simple Rules&Regulations to follow:---

a) Any hopup options are NOT ALLOWED , only race with out-from-box XB kit.
b) No tire change (securing of tire -> wheel with CA is ok)
c) Broken plastic parts can be repaired/replaced at pit area only.
d) Use your own 7.2v Ni-cd or Ni-mah batteries.
e) LED lights must be equipped and switched on at 6.15pm.
f) Drivers must be rotated after every 15minutes (total 6 periods)
g) XB Kit and everything is yours to keep after the race!

Departing hourly starting at 0800 and last pickup at 2300 daily (including eve of PH & PH) from Playground@Big Splash to Parkway Parade (outside DBS Bank pick up / drop off point). Schedule from Parkway Parade to Playground@Big Splash starts at 0830 and last pickup at 22.30.

Bus charges S$1 for every trip (free for children of 0.9m and below in height and accompanied by a fare-paying passenger).

Drift Format

Knock out stage
32 participants will be split into 2 groups.



Group A and B, Stage 3 participants will qualify for the Round of 16.

Group A and B Stage 1 bottom 16 will fight it out and the 8 winners will qualify the Wildcard Prelims

Group A and B Stage 2 bottom 8 will be included into the Wildcard Prelims



The 16 drifters in the Wildcard Prelims will battle it out to fight for the final 8 places in the Round of 16 as wildcard.



Each battle will have 2 runs each. Alternating between “Lead” and “Chase” car. If no winner is declared in the 2 runs, it will go into sudden death. Winner to move on.

Judging
1. Entry Speed – Faster speed translate to higher risk, which will be awarded with more points.
2. Angle and Counter Steering – Oversteering will NOT be considered. Smooth transition and flow in attacking the corners.
3. Corner/Line/Apex Clipping – The closer to the apex, the more points.
4. Duration of Drift and Drifting line – Depending on the track layout, there will be different lines available. Ability to take the fastest, shortest and dangerous line will score more points. But sometimes, a faster/shortest line is not the best line to take. It depends on the next apex. The car needs to be “flowing”. Points will be awarded base on these combination.
*If the car is sliding away from the drifting line, points will be deducted.
*Sudden jerk of car will result in points being deducted.
5. Presentation and showmanship – Drifting is to be enjoyed by the crowds, so points will be awarded if you can awe the judges and crowds.

"Lead" Car
1. Try to drift and pull away from the “chaser”
2. Score points by out drifting the “chaser”

“Chasing” Car
1. To be as close to the “lead” car. The closer, the more points will be awarded.
2. Put pressure on the “lead” car till mistake is made
3. Try to mimic the “lead” car movement.
4. If the “lead” car shows bad driving, the “chaser” can try to score points by out drifting the “lead” car.
5. Overtaking IS allowed and points will be awarded. BUT if the “chaser” causes an accident, the “lead” car will be declared the winner. Once overtaken, the previous “lead” car can try to overtake back. Same rules apply.
