2 ways to join the parent and child team.

1) Wait one more year and get a wife follow by a child

2) or under declare your age.

Just kidding. All are welcome! After all, we just want the kids to have fun. If you don't mind them bashing your precious car with them around.

Hmm, started my now 5-year old on the TT01 with silvercan motor. Throttle EPA was set at 45%. Even then, he broke many parts - he was always on full throttle even around hairpins. But we persevered, and thanks to the patience of many of the TAC racers (and for accommodating me whenever I went scrounging for parts), he has improved somewhat. His EPA is now at 90 - 100%. I have also gotten him a M03R which he is able to handle quite well even with a Sports Tuned Motor at 100% EPA. Fewer smashes, but they still happen occassionally. I have also identified the more vulnerable parts which I then strengthen with 3rd party products or where I stock up more spares. Conclusion - at that age, they can't help crashing esp if they are playing with others on the track. Hence, get those chassis where the spares are relatively affordable. TT01 and M03 are good starting kits. BTW, I have enough loose spares to build a second or third TT01.

My son is now eyeing my TA05 .... sigh there goes my run time on the track.

Thanks. He has improved. But he's one who certainly has the "Need for Speed". He hates me to limit his EPA and for the other cars to pass him by. He drives quite ok when he's concentrating, but at that age they get distracted easily. He will also occasionally stop his car in the middle of the track when he is itchy and can't resist scratching himself there and then. Kids are funny but lots of fun. I must say that the group at BK's track are a great bunch for accommodating him all this while. Will look out for you next time at the track.
